Thanjk you.

Love how this has turned into Adam vs Lucas when it was henderson, downing and to a lesser extent (for 70 mins) Suarez who were stinking the place out today.
Fundamental problem is if you don't take your chances you invite trouble. Should have been 2-0 up in 30 mins AGAIN. Would have been a different game.

I actually thought Carroll and Downing did ok today.
Ok Carroll missed that chance early on, but he won alot in the air, the problem was no one was picking up the knock downs. Downing has had some critisism about the quality of his crossing, I thought that was much better today, most of his crosses were good IMO
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Another weekend of the same excuses. Our problems started this season in the transfer window when Kenny wasted most of the owners money.
For me we need to sort out the centre of midfield, if we have someone in the centre of the park pulling the strings and dominating games and dictating play like Alonso did then the team even with the players we have at the moment would be much improved. Adam is no where near the quality needed to do this.
Our best hope is that Gerrard will come back and settle into this role.
Totally agree.
Everything starts and ends with strong midfield and we are not nearly good enough.
Adam to me is the weakest link and we need look to replace him with some top notch quality player as he is decent squad player but he won't take us into CL.

As I say at the moment our best option is to hope Gerrard can stay fit and settle into that role because he's capable of doing it if he has the discipline to do so.

I usually agree with most of you're posts mate but did you not think Downing was absolutely anonymous once again today? And that Carroll did absoluely nothing of note?
For me, I'm more confident about Enrique crossing than Downing - more confident about a full-back's crossing than a £20 million left-winger whose speciality is meant to be crossing!

Well if Carroll converted an absolute sitter today from Downing I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be having this discussion.
He had some really good runs in the first half but we just didn't have enough bodies in the box to convert those crosses.
Yes he disappeared after that but imo the midfield needs to have him involved more and more cause he has tendencies "to come and go" as the match is progressing.
Another disappointing draw. It's sad times when the idea of Liverpool winning the Premier League again seems as ludacrous as England winning the World Cup. Not surprising though considering (to me) our recent transfers are bought firstly because they're English and/or young rather than for their talent/skill. Barring Enrique (if the £6 or 7 million figure is accurate), Bellamy and Suarez the rest are all dross.
It's getting a little pathetic when people try and defend Kenny/Camolli regarding this or make claims such as "well Downing is much better than Maxi, he always beats his man and gets crosses in" - yeah that's why he's got a whopping 0 goals and 0 assists - plus his crosses are **** either far too powerful or too wide. Maxi & Kuyt may not be brilliant throughout the game and repeatedly beat their man but they always get themselves into good positions and provide goals. Same with Bellamy. Doesn't matter if they look **** all game - it's all about scoring goals and getting the win.
****ing frustrating watching our two top scorers last season on the bench along with Bellamy. Give Bellamy more than a pathetic 10/15 mins and start Kuyt and Maxi and we'll win more games - simple as.
