For me Tottenham are favourites. I just have a feeling they'll be the ones who **** up less.

We just need to somehow stay in touch with teams around 4th place until January, if we do that and strengthen in the window, we will be in a great position to mount a challenge for champs league spots.

No point in looking at last season. The team that came 4th in Houlliers last season would struggle in this years premiership. Teams improve. Of course there has been a case this year of some teams misfiring, but its down to other teams in the league improving as well as teams regressing.

No, it just seems weak because teams can't put a decent run together. Look at teams contending for the top 6:

Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Everton, Newcastle & Liverpool. All top sides on their day. Not forgetting teams like Swansea who are capable of fantastic football. Look at the top sides in that era, few & far between tbh.

I dont buy it compare the original top 4 squads of today to 3-4 years ago all massively weakened, City/Spurs are stronger but the other 13/14 teams compared to 3/4 years are deffo weaker, theres atleast 10 teams in this division that could have quite easily gone down previously

We seem to be still in with a shout which is amazing really. Poor start to the season from us, but most of the teams around us are inconsistent. I thought Arsenal were poor then they totally destroyed us, but now they're not very good again. If we can start being a bit more clinical and organised who knows?
