I will be really interested to see what January cooks up transferwise. Not that I'm a short-fuse kinda guy, but it's glaringly obvious we need to strengthen. But then again, I wonder if it's not only the personell on the pitch that is to blame, but also how it's employed.

I agree. People are saying we're creating a lot of chances but missing them. To be honest I don't think we're creating enough and that our midfield is one paced, plodding and predictable.Originally posted by Mostar View PostThat's the key word.
**** the 2 chances we had in last 30 seconds.
We should've won this game by 10 if we had little more quality overall.
The difference in tempo when Gerrard came on was there for all to see and to be honest I think it's a big problem.
Yes, Suarez misses a lot of chances, but he creates a high percentage of them for himself.
Carroll, well, let's not go there, but we can see he did go close twice today when he got good deliveries.A humble guy with healthy desire.

Seems like it's all down hill from here. Getting (at least) 4th place this season seems less likely than us signing Messi. No decent strikers will want to play for us without CL football, even average strikers will cost a lot more because of the way we've been splashing the cash around at dross in the last year - any club we approach for their player will instantly add another several million to the price tag because of what we paid for Carroll/Downing/Henderson. FSG will be less enthusiastic at the idea of spending loads due to how current signings have turned out.

Totally agree. Adam and Hendo as pair cannot control the midfield. They are too one dimensional and not have enough quality to impact the game.Originally posted by The Erectile Banana View PostI agree. You can see today how much we missed Stevie.
The quality of passing was first class.
Other 2, especially Hendo as you said do short predictable passes that for the most part lead on absolutely nothing.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club
