Carroll has done well with pretty limited service in terms of crossing.

I think that people are again going over the top in their critisism of Downing, yes he's done som bad things but he has also done some good things, people are just focusing on the negative thinsg he's done.

Okay, so you're happy about a primary attacking player that cost a fortune to not score, or create goals but start each and every match? He doesn't look like he has the confidence or belief to improve things either. He's not young, and most people didn't want us to sign him whenever he's been linked over the last 4 years or so. Nowhere near good enough and should be demoted to the bench until he can show significant signs of improvement. The way he's played this season he's almost worthy of making a left flank partnership with Konchesky in the Championship.

The problem is that he too often offers nothing not through a lack of ability but it feels like he is not giving his all. He also for us, has offer little inside. He has sadly epitomised averageness for us.
