We need to play this game at a high tempo, City will be knackered after playing 80mins of a derby with 10 men
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Aye, they'll definitely be knackered after that battle today.

It was extremely harsh but you could by the letter of the law make a case, don't think it will be over turned

They were after the Sunderland game as well.

More importantly though they'll be missing Kompany and the Toure brothers, probably the three best players on the pitch the other day against LFC.

De Jong looked of the pace today, maybe he'll benefit from that 90 mins, but he's not in the same league as Yaya.

We are missing Suarez and Lucas Our 2 best players this season. Still going to take a hell of an effort to beat them. I'm more optimistic but Kenny will have to get team selection and tactics bang on this time if we want anything from this first leg.

We need to stay in the tie, that's all - if we do that, i'd fancy us at Anfield.

In a similar way to how Ferguson describe Suarez as diving all over the place he's now said that Kompany has been making those (reckless) tackles and getting away with it.

As pointed out on the 5Live discussion this is probably aimed at whoever hears Kompany's appeal to influence their deliberations.

How utterly and mind bogglingly good would it be to dump Manchester out of the cups.

I think we'll need at least one away goal, so trailing by the odd goal, assuming we have scored, should leave us in with a decent chance.
