As others elsewhere have said that serial ****house Nani hopped out of the way and played on as if nothing happened which tells you everything you need to know about the tackle.
Probably 90% of tackles look worse when slowed down or seen from a different angle, Rooney's reaction of running straight to the ref while the game was going on got Kompany the red card.

If Suarez/Silva/Drogba/RvP or just about any foreign player went running to the ref trying to get a fellow (English) pro sent off the media would be in uproar about how we don't do that in England and trying to take the moral high ground again.
Because it's Rooney and because it's a tournament year he (and others) get away with murder.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but when it comes to what it says 'in law', the 'two footed' thing means nothing - i dont think the term 'two footed' is even mentioned in law. It mentions dangerous play (endangering an opponent) but not 'two footed'.

Like when people ask for a red card because the player who committed a foul was the 'last man' - again, 'last man' isnt mentioned in law, it's about 'denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity'.

I think Kompany's red card will be overturned.

I will be amazed if they overturn it, they will argue its dangerous and he was lucky Nani jumped out of the way

If they do overturn it we will be able to here Mick McCarthy explode in rage wherever you are in the world

Kompany ban stands. It was never gonna get overturned.

Kompany's appeal has been thrown out so the 4 game ban stands

                            Great news.

So they're without him, both Toure's and Silva?! Fantastic.

Think they might really feel that absence, especially at Anfield. Horrific decision mind.
