We put ourselves in a position that gives us a good chance to progress, I'm satisfied. People who will complain about the performance have to realise that we did what we had to, it's not like that's going to become a regular occurrence.

      Mancini is a BIG prick.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

It was bizzare, it's was Stoke, it was hoof, it was all very confusing.

But we won and that's all that matters!

Carroll was very good in the first half, when he had the support

        **** the haters

1st half was very good ... 2nd half was negative and dull. still, job done.

I think Carroll had a thankless task of just being abandoned up the pitch.

Granted, his lay-offs were heavy, but I that's a confidence issue. Other than that, he was just an outlet.

Good performance first half, we got very negative in the second half, I would have liked us to have offered something going forward in the second half, I thought we could have got another. Having said that we got the win, which is what we needed to do.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If we can get another goal at Anfield we will be right there! Hopefully Spearing recovers in time otherwise we need a new DM this window.

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Sorry but he really wasn't. He had one chance on after Savic ****ed up and one decent header, aside from that he was terrible.

Deffo. It's great to know we can do that when we have to. Rafaesque anyone?

Mancini saying Johnson's challenge was worse than the one Kompany got sent off for.

Gerrard basically calling Mancini a hypocrite

Was there anything good about our win away to the best team in England, Matt?
