I think we got the SC deal while we were still in the champions league.

Ok then we got the Warrior deal which I think is the joint highest kit deal in the Premier League is it not??

Talking to Red friends I've been saying that I've kinda fallen our of love a little with being an LFC fan in the last 18 months - the end with Rafa and everything to do with that Hicks cunt, the Hodgson months and on to this. But what I've realised is that rightly or wrongly I miss CL football. I'd gotten used to not winning the league but the way Rafa had every team in Europe fear us (and sadly I was often critical of the way we played - didn't realise how ****in good week had it) was amazing.
I think we've got to strip it back to where we are as a club, because we are still carrying this feeling of where we should be, almost as if it is our god-given right. We've been spoilt in recent years and it's raised our levels of expectancy.

Our club nearly went into administration, our best players were going and there was so much poison running through the club, it was a shambles. We had (probably) the worst manager in our history come in as a yes man and took us down to eye-gouging levels of football.

Our club has been stripped back to its foundations and I'm confident we're building it back up strongly. We have a manager 12 months in to the role, with new owners, the potential of silverware and a route back in to Europe this year and an opportunity to steadily build the squad with investment.

Part of that process is going to be us finding our playing-style and it will be a frustrating experience as a supporter, but we'll be back where we belong soon - in the Champions League and fighting for the title.

It's not a post directed *at* you badpiggy, more a point you raised that had me thinking and it's in no way meant to sound patronising.

We desperately need a striker who scores goals and I would like an attacking player with pace who is direct someone who could interchange with Bellamy when hes not able to play

So the sum of your argument is everyone is **** except Adam, Bellamy, Coares, Enrique & Suarez

But the other 2 (out of the 7 he signed) are

              All managers make mistakes

Yes even Rafa and Fergie etc.....
i am quite happy with all his signings apart from his 2 biggest which are woeful

                  I disagree.

His scoring record with LFC is very similar to what he has done with Nacional and Groningen where he had to do things on his own. There is a reason why he did so well with Ajax as he had the players around him that took some pressure of him and help him get the best out of him, which you cannot say atm.

I also think you have been very harsh on him as you keep focusing solely on his conversion rate, which we all know it is not the greatest, but there is so much more that he does for the team in terms of creating chances, creating space for other players, pressuring defence etc that stats may or may not support.

There is a reason why he is one, if not the best player in PL and that has to be taken in consideration when talking about Suarez.

At the same time, you seem to be very understanding when it comes to Carroll, who has shown absolutely nothing since he's been here.

He cost more and his wages are higher than Suarez and yet his contribution and his skill level is not even comparable but you are rarely giving him any criticism.

Unless I'm mistaken Suarez for all his brilliance still only has a 7% conversi0n rate

Fine if you are talking about someone like Rush in his pomp then imo he WAS a game changer because his conversion rate was ****ing immense
Do you work for the FA?

You've stated that Kuyt is finished, yet swapping Luis Suarez in his place would definitely have no material impact on the game.

Dont get me wrong hes a good player and probably one of our most threatening but hes nowhere near as clinical enough and without someone clinical enough with or without Suarez we will continue to miss chances
Is that a yes or a no?

disappointing result but this had nil nil written all over it and we delivered.

Standard Chartered was agreed in September of '09 and that year we did compete in CL.

Lecter, you're sounding like a Kenny apologist here.

To be honest i'm not concerned at all in the grand scheme of things. Kenny is doing a good job and we'll get there.
                              Are we winning?
