I think we've got to strip it back to where we are as a club, because we are still carrying this feeling of where we should be, almost as if it is our god-given right. We've been spoilt in recent years and it's raised our levels of expectancy.

Our club nearly went into administration, our best players were going and there was so much poison running through the club, it was a shambles. We had (probably) the worst manager in our history come in as a yes man and took us down to eye-gouging levels of football.

Our club has been stripped back to its foundations and I'm confident we're building it back up strongly. We have a manager 12 months in to the role, with new owners, the potential of silverware and a route back in to Europe this year and an opportunity to steadily build the squad with investment.

Part of that process is going to be us finding our playing-style and it will be a frustrating experience as a supporter, but we'll be back where we belong soon - in the Champions League and fighting for the title.

It's not a post directed *at* you badpiggy, more a point you raised that had me thinking and it's in no way meant to sound patronising.

Couldn't agree more man. Even though I thought Rafa had to go when he did, it's staggering the position he got us to in Europe in the middle of that cluster****. You're on the money about us needing to drop the sense of being entitled to any glory anymore. Rebuilding will be painfully frustrating. I really wish in many ways that it wasn't happening under Kenny because the questions we would ask of any other manager feel disloyal when asked of him. I don't actually believe we will win the PL under him- I know it's contradictory but - even though he's won it 4 times as a manager already - statistically the vast majority of managers don't win the league and I think he's starting from behind to be honest. The purchases of Downing and Carroll and his handling of the Suarez situation make me fear that he can't see the angles anymore. I look forward to being wrong though!

Off the ball movement under KK is night and day compared to the Bodge. Even with the tactics today they were at least trying to play pass and move and had some clever interplay. Rarely saw that under Bodge. Admit there was a lack of incisive runs today, but overall would say that has not been a problem this season. that being said have hard time thinking KK said no more than 3 in the box today!

After today I have no doubt that we will bring in at least 2 players this month. If we do that and still fail to get 4th place then I'm not sure if there would be any sense in giving Kenny another season because it could potentially set us back several years. FSG have backed Dalglish in every way imaginable primarily with a transfer budget that Rafa or Bodgson could only have dreamed of.
The fact of the matter is that Kenny has wasted 62 million pounds on 3 players that none of our rivals for the top 4 would even consider buying - Carroll, Downing and Adam. Personally I don't rate Henderson and I think that he's bang average but I'm clearly in a minority on that and he may indeed be the next Lucas - a player who starts poorly at LFC but eventually comes good.

The pressure is on now I'm afraid. Hope Kenny can cope with it.

Adam should be a squad option, never a first team regular. We were wondering in work the other day how he would have done at Spurs if he had gotten the move there last year. Couldn't see how he would get a game, and if he did, how he would keep up with the pace of their game.

This is arguably our biggest problem. Our squad is loaded with players who wouldn't get anywhere near the starting 11 of City, Utd, Spurs, Arsenal and Chavs. The fact that Kenny bought those sub standard players for fees that are normally associated with top/world class players is both embarrassing and infuriating.

How Kenny expected to finish in the top 4 by buying mid table players is baffling.

You're right that his fee wasn't inflated but he is just another mid table player who we should never of bought. Adam belongs at a club like Aston Villa or similar, I mean FFS just take a look at his CV before joining us - it dosen't exacly impress.

Yes and those sub par players that our rivals have rarely start games and generally cost peanuts. The difference is that our sub standard players cost a fortune and regulary start games ahead of players that are vastly superior (Maxi and Meireles while he was here this season).

BTW who are these key players that have offered little ??
