Tex played against Norwich on the 3rd after playing at Gerrards testimonial and a season ticket holder said he was rubbish, disinterested and clearly didn't want to play as his head was still at Anfield. He reckons if he bulks up a bit he has the ability to be as good Sterling though.

Coates starting against Everton, so far he's looked decent, lots of interceptions and hoofing.

Gotta say he's bossed it so far, some great crucial interceptions and tackles.

I think the fact that he couldn'd get a game for Poyet doesn't really say that much considering what a **** manager he is, and he's now finally getting some chances under Advocaat.

I always liked him and hoped that he could be a long term starting CB for us, which will most likely never happen, but I think he can still have a good PL career.

Doesn't look good enough for us but he seems a decent enough player. I'd sell but he does have experience in a back three (even if he never appears comfortable dragged out wide which for me is something we need in CBs).
