Checked it out myself, turns out he's an Arsenal fan with a cockney mate that's on the board. He doesn't say anything really, got asked if he's heard anything about Roberto Martinez and Liverpool and he said no. Seems legit, doesn't claim anything really just that he knows someone on the board that now and then give him a bit of info not everyone is privy to.

On a side note, I went to get a drink during the game and came back to hear the fans singing "Munich, Munich, Munich" Was a really uncomfortable moment til I realised!

Silly comment. Obviously people are thinking beyond this season in terms of how well placed the club is.

Cracking game, I thought Henderson was really excellent, played with a lot of bite, fight and energy, thought it was Gerrard out there at one stage

Formed a great partnership in the middle with Jonjo who was excellent to.

Honestly, missed the kick off and team sheet by about 5 minutes, and I thought to myself, surprise Gerrard is playing, then I seen number 14 and thought who is that, surely not Henderson ..... it is you know .... hmmm bacon and eggs .... I think I'll make myself a bacon and egg sandbo at halftime .... Crystal Space Donkeys ... then I stopped thinking for awhile

Yeah they'd gladly swap places with us wouldn't they They'd trade places and take the Carling Cup instead of fighting for the Premiership? A wins a win and I enjoyed the win but we lost when it mattered mate.

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

There was plenty of fight and aggression throughout the season. Effort was never an issue. Saturday was the same.
                        Are we winning?

It was a great result and a great performance, it is just so frustrating that it came at a time in the season when it didn't really matter. I thought Carroll and Henderson were immense and showed what they are capable of, hopefully they can put in more performances like that.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We outplayed Chelsea for about 90 minutes yesterday, and everybody in the team was up for a performance. Great result to end the season on a high at Anfield. There have been far between the results this season, so let's enjoy it now we got one.

To me the big difference between today and many games earlier this season is that we actually finished our chances. Henderson and Shelvey played well together in CM, happy that we have two so promising players in there. They are not good enough to carry the team yet, but I reckon they will be important players for us in the near future. Team also looked a lot better passing and movement wise without Spearing in the team.

Who's been worse this season? Reina, Carroll, Henderson or Downing? Considering how good Reina was, his fall from grace has outdone Downings poor form this year imo since we all knew Downings limitations. Reina lets more in than he saves. At fault for the first chelsea goal on saturday and didn't even dive properly for the second. he didn't even get close. he's been average and though his character is great he needs to sort his fat arse out this summer.

pleased for shelvey who I didn't rate. still think the pace thing will stop him getting to where he should be but he can still be a very good player for years to come. thats another player that the manager was playing a lot last year and many were questioning.
Downing has definitely been worse than any of the other players

He was poor last night as well

Reina I've said for awhile is now at a level where he is easily replaceable. If he gets back to his old self then hes difficult to replace

Carroll looks like hes coming into the player he was at Newcastle with the added benefit of actually having an improved level of technique

Henderson I have thought for a long time will turn into a decent signing. He'll be one of those players that if hes still at the club in 3 years we'll say has been a steady eddie servant and if hes still here in 6 or 7 we'll say hes an integral part of the squad.

Downing there is no hope for imo

As for Shelvey like Henderson I think he'll become an important squad member. They both really come out of their shells when Gerrard isnt around them.

I cant decide whether Gerrard suppresses lesser players talents through taking stuff on himself, or whether players like Henderson & Shelvey abdicate responsibility when Gerrard is playing

Shelvey i believe will also be a great player for us.
Adam will do as a squad player.
Carroll is now showing his true qualities, i know it's a bit late but it looks like he has recovered from injuries and whatever else his problem was.
