He ****ing built the very foundations of this pass and move keep the ball on the ground philosophy you see from the ****ing blades of grass up, totally transformed the club, if you dont know that .. well I dont have to time or inclination on educating you ... Yeah hes just Wigans manager

My only reservation with Martinez is he himself may not be a big enough draw to attract certain type of players ... but if he was working with Tikki or however you spell his name this could work

Its no shock that the building stages were rocky up til the point we had a team full of quality and it went back downhill as soon as we stopped investing.

          Its an enormous ****ing gamble

Changing a manager is always a gamble but the odds are more favourable the better candidate you choose

To me Martinez, Lambert & Rodgers arent a gamble its like playing Russian Roulette

Martinez or AVB for me. Martinez sold Valencia and Palacios, probably the 2 best players they ever had and still kept the team competitive. Who wouldn't have took AVB last Christmas when Hodgson was in charge. He's not the first one to have been shafted (literallly) by Brave John Terry

Keep the fans pleased while we interview Martinez, Rodgers etc.

Everton do it with transfers almost on a yearly basis.. Riquelme springs to mind. The owners come out with a 'ah well you could see our intentions, at least we tried'

Not saying that's happening here mind.

Let's just wait and see. Some people have the same feelings that they had after Rafa was sacked though. That we'll go through some tough times before it comes good again. Starting from scratch again when City is reinforcing by buying the likes of Van Persie and when other clubs will be building will put us back. No matter what way you want to picture it. It's a step back.

Bloody hell it's difficult, i'm getting so worked up i don't know who i should accept, expect...or want.

Whoever it is to be, i hope they appoint him as soon as is possible, but at the same time take as long as they need too.

                    Educate me?

I've forgotten more about football than you will ever know

Over the past few weeks all I've heard is results dont lie (in regards to Kenny)

That should equally apply to Martinez, his results are worse than the man he took over at Wigan

                    Thats a fact, not opinion

That we're not remotely serious of going for them.

In the sense that they make you believe they are going for top quality candidates but in reality they arent at all

I dont believe that personally but I guess thats what Nigel is suggesting

So wait, your telling me that those smart men and women dressed up in suits and dresses. Aren't always telling the truth? And their 'facts' might not be accurate

Martinez clearly has loads of potential. He's a student of the game, innovative, plays attacking football. It *could* work. I think we've all been badly burned by the whole Hodgson experience.

With the type of football Martinez likes, you'd have to hope that he'd have far more success transmitting his ideas to quality players as opposed to some of the dross he has at Wigan.

I have huge doubts, but if he was to get the position, a part of me would be quite excited to see how he would do. Especially if we brought in an ambitious, big draw director of football.

From the remaining 'potential' candidates, as things stand, I'd be pretty happy to see it go to:

Benitez (stand out candidate for me)
                              Van Gaal
                              Martinez
                              Villas Boas
                              Capello
