I know what you are saying and as I said I detested him for the way he was at the Chavs but you cannot get away from the fact he is a winner.

They like most of us have no real idea what is going on at the club and are jumping to conclusions they've probably made through looking at Sly Sports and the Daily Mail.

FSG have not done anything wrong as yet and IMO are doing the right thing by going about looking for a new manager in silence.

And I agree that FSG haven't done anything wrong as well. I suppose the one thing we can all agree on is that we get our new guy appointed and we can all focus on supporting him and hopefully some nice new signings.

I dunno, maybe I'm overly critical because it is the club I follow, but I don't know if the round of supposed rejections was that well handled. The way it has been portrayed is that pretty much everyone who has ever watched a game has been approached and most of them have turned us down - I am sure that is not the case, but why let these rumours circulate?

Though Chelsea have had a lot of publicity also, I guess the fact they had an interim manager has helped deflect attention, as has the aforementioned bauble that they won.

I just think we should be able to manipulate the media a bit more and get the press working for us. But I am a dreamer.

I think I have nearly run out of opinion on this matter (subject to some hard and fast twitter rumour ).
