the situation at boston is a bit different in that the owners have more than earned some time to restructure, having initially done what they set out to do, which was to make them champions for ther first time in nearly 9 decades. the ball ache at the club now seems to be larry lucchiano rather than the principal owners. but after all the changes (and amid an injury crisis) out wasn't unexpected.dave of mutilation

probably give him some time to turn it around. season's not even 1/3rd the way through and he's been part of the success so far. it's also not as straightforward as sacking him as he is part owner as well.Originally posted by colin85 View PostAre they going to do anything about the ball ache?dave of mutilation

Ok, ok but my point was that FSG have made the $$$ through being good at what they do with there sports franchises and making them successful. Hicks WAS worth over a billion and seems to have done this by buying low and selling for a profit until the banks caught up with him.Originally posted by Lecter View Posthicks was worth over a billion as wellGo **** yourself

The fact is that we didn't need to be in this position to begin with as we had more than capable manager in Kenny who should've been given one more year and now that he is gone there is CL winning manager that is available and would love to get an opportunity.Originally posted by Assassin View PostThe reason the managers job was one of the one of the most desired was due to us being one of the very top teams
Nowadays we are nowhere near that standard, hence, the type of manager we are attractive too
As they say; Beggars cant be choosers, fact
We just chose to ignore him as the person making up the list was the same one that contributed to his exit.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Some interesting points:
Dave Robson @RusticLad
I stress that's not a thumbs-up. It's just frustrating seeing so many press generated clichés bandied around about a clearly able manager.

That isn't a thumbs up for AVB but you can see how he might deploy the current players available. If he can master man-management of course.

At Liverpool that would likely be Daniel Agger; encouraged to bring the ball out of a high defensive line. Lucas would probably benefit too.

You can imagine who the main beneficiaries would be if he joined any of the clubs with managerial vacancies even if no new faces were added.

His attacking approach would surely be welcomed by many teams. He gives the fullbacks greater freedom whilst keeping it tight defensively.

Those debating André Villas-Boas' credentials & anchoring on man-management reservations naively ignore Chelsea's clearly poisonous set up.
