WTF is all this its Hodgson again rubbish all about?? Some of you really do need to get a life. Get out in the sunshine and stop talking ****e.

They are nothing alike at all. Martinez is young, smart, energetic, fantastic man manager, talks sense and achieves the targets set for him. Hodgson is everything but those things.

Before he managed us, the general impression of Hodgson was that of a nice guy, good relationship with press, players, other managers; keeps things simple, excellent man management etc etc etc. Look at what happened afterwards.

I am not saying Martinez is not. But when he is on the hot seat here, he will be exposed in a way he has never been in his life.

I am not a huge fan of him. However, if he is appointed, he will get my support.

But I really hope he gets to a very good start. I don't think the fans will give him the time to learn how to manage LFC due to his lack of pedigree. A bad start and the Kop will be chanting for Dalglish and Rafa by December.

I think Martinez will get the support of 95% of fans even if they didnt want him...how long that support lasts is questionable...i predict that after 4 games alot of people will have made their minds up on him, if we haven't played well in those games people will complain that he just isn't good enough and that the club lacks ambition, bring Benitez back, we would be world champions had we re-hired benitez or if we never fired him ya da yada blah blah blah the same drill over and over again....personally whoever gets the job deserves the full season imo as they wont have a full summer to work with signing players they want.

If fsg do hire Martinez against the obvious wish of many fans,then they should really be prepared to back him with finances. He will be their guy and everyone will turn on them very quickly if he fails. They must realise this.

If he gets a decent budget to bring in some quality players then he may do well. His footballing style is very attractive.

If he is appointed then we need a really popular dof to attract the top players. I reckon that position is already filled as no point in holding interviews for managers if you can't even tell them who they will be working with.
