Out of nearly 400 fans only 9 think Martinez is the best choice for manager.
Interesting statistic that.
If he gets the job and that sample is reflected across a full house then at the first home game only a thousand out of forty five thousand fans will think Martinez is the right choice.
He'd better hit the ground running.
yeah but most of these 400 people are rafa followers so i wouldn't read too much into it

I was at Guardiola's pressa yesterday. He didnt say "for the next month I have to recharge my batteries and my mind",, he said "months"!!!!
If the new manager isn't buying players let have until preseason starts, simple
To be honest, if Guardiola was available and wanted a few months I'd wait. Makes it even more infuriating that we got rid of Kenny so quickly. HE IS the right man for us.
Guardiola is available, therefore if FSG are serious about LFC they will bend over backwards to bring him in, or at least talk to him. If he rejects the chance, then fair enough go with Martinez, but Guardiola simply has to be our No.1 target now. And we MUST act fast if we have any chance.

Liverpool FC cool interest in Andre Villas-Boas as next LFC manager
By Ian Doyle
May 24 2012
LIVERPOOL are cooling their interest in Andre Villas-Boas as their new manager.
Villas-Boas has been a front-runner in the race to take the Anfield hotseat ever since Kenny Dalglish was dismissed from the post last Wednesday.
Fenway Sports Group made tentative enquiries about the Portuguese through a third party earlier this month.
But, with Villas-Boas taking his time to consider his next move after being heavily linked with the vacant post at Italian side Roma, Liverpool’s owners are now prepared to turn their attentions elsewhere.
It comes after Villa-Boas warned he will only consider a move to Anfield if FSG have a clear vision of their long-term strategy.
The 34-year-old has been out of football since March when he was dismissed by Chelsea less than 10 months into a long-term project he had been assigned by Stamford Bridge owner Roman Abramovich.
And the Portuguese will seek assurances from any prospective employer they will keep faith in a robust strategy before being lured back into management.
“Liverpool and Roma? Well, what we are looking for is a (club with a) strong technical plan, that is solid and durable,” said Carlo Goncalves, representative for Villas-Boas.
“Villas-Boas would like to return to coaching in these conditions, but if these conditions are not available, we would have no problems not working.
“I won’t confirm or deny contacts with specific clubs.
“What we are interested in is a technical project, its outlook and a situation that has longevity.”
FSG want to appoint a “tracksuit” manager as part of a new structure that would also include a sporting director.
Roberto Martinez is expected to be interviewed shortly by the Americans, who will also give Brendan Rodgers the opportunity to stake his claim despite the Swansea City manager having publicly ruled himself out of contention.
Louis van Gaal is the lead contender for the sporting director role, although sources close to the Dutchman have suggested he may prefer the manager’s position.
Liverpool’s shake-up of their management structure could offer a reprieve to Maxi Rodriguez and Dirk Kuyt.
The pair, who are both 31 and entering the final year of their contracts, had been told they were free to talk with other clubs after being deemed surplus to requirements.
But with director of football Damien Comolli and Dalglish having been dismissed, the future of Maxi and Kuyt will be reassessed once the new management team is in place.
Meanwhile, Liverpool’s player of the season Martin Skrtel has put his improvement down to a more aggressive approach which he believes has paid off both in defence and attack.
“If I look at aspects of my game, I think I have played a little more aggressively than in the two last seasons and that has been good for me,” said Skrtel.
“I have tried to improve this side of my game again and I think I have got there.
“I have scored more goals and I think that has been important for me because in past years I couldn’t score too many.
“I scored four which I think isn’t too bad for a defender. I think the goal in the Carling Cup final would be the highlight of the year for me.
“Scoring at Wembley was an incredible feeling because it is such a special stadium and there was a special atmosphere.”
Pep Guardiola hints he may return to management next season
Departing Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has hinted that he could be ready to return to management next season.
The 41-year-old, whose final game in charge of the Catalan club is the Copa del Rey final, opted to leave the Nou Camp to take time away from the game.
But ahead of Friday's match, he said: "I will receive all calls with pleasure, but for the next month I have to recharge my batteries and my mind.
"I will be ready [to return] if one club wants me and seduces me."
More to follow.

Guardiola, as said many times, is to take a sabbatical next season. Yesterday he said he'll take "months" off, NOT "month"
