    Warnock and tackling

Holy **** that lad is brutal to say the least when it comes to tacking,
takes ball and by christ does he take the man as well, must have got
about 4 or 5 bone crunching challenges in on that Larsson lad.
    ****ing brilliant

I think he gets a bit of unfair stick does Warnock, gives absolutely everything he's
got when he plays and he's not a bad little player imo.

I love it when he goes and crunches someone - 100% fairly too. I'd love to see him get a game against Manure and go hunting some Cristina pussy...

That's the right way to tackle: put your whole body in to it and let them know you're there.

No good in Europe though where football is definitely a non-contact sport.

        (Premiership's getting that way too!)

          Warnock = Tommy Smith Jnr
I'd take him over Aurelio everytime and in any formation, the lad plays with heart and no artsy fartsy stuff. Long may it continue.

I agree. He gets criticised a lot and described as a Championship player only.

I like him as he'll always get stuck in. I'd rate him ahead of Aurelio at left back that's for sure.

Hard to believe he suffered two broken legs. Never shirks a challenge.

I see him as just behind Riise
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

If he was quick - he'd be very good indeed.
Sadly - pace is not his strong point.

He's miles behind Riise and was very poor last night.

When he gets injured its sometimes down to his hard tackles, Overall not a bad player, we have had a lot worse.

he always puts in some meaty challenges.
He is a decent enough player, but his postioning can be somewhat suspect at times.

Didn't think Warnock had a great game last night, too many long high hopeful balls, that were easily dealt with by the Brum defence.

His tackling is easily his strong point, but his ability to quickly turn and get up to speed seemed a bit rubbish last night - hopefully just him being a little rusty, as I've never noticed that before.

Tackling and attitude is the only real positive to his game. For me he is a woefully poor defender who's usually a liability at the back. Obviously Rafa probably thinks the same hence why Warnock hardly ever starts a game. I think to call him a Championship player is harsh but in my opinion he's a Wigan, Fulham or Villa type player and definitely not a LFC player.
