Hmm, not getting the critics of the style today (not just on here), he's got a team who people had coming about 6th this season in to the title race on the last day of the season and now the tactics apparently dont work that great if you want success? He's worked miracles and the style is doing fine. We need to improve in some areas but being defensive minded isn't a guarantee of success. Where are Chelsea with their defensive tactics and bigger budget going to finish this season? Behind us.

Read this by Dave Usher today, who I like.
"We can't go on like this"??I’m as guilty of that as anyone, I actually spent a good hour on Saturday night trying to talk a mate around who can’t get fully on board with Rodgers because of how ****e we are at the back. I think I was winning him over too, and then this happens. Well my friend is right, we can’t go on like this and the manager is the one who needs to accept the responsibility for it and to fix it. There’s nothing he can do about individual errors of course, but what happened against Palace was as much on Brendan as anybody.
Yes we ****in can.

Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Haha! Is right. Cant wait for next season, we're going to terrorise teams even more than this one. The people expecting us to drop are going to be in for a big shock.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostAbsolutely.

But hopefully we are bumping the Andy Carroll thread on Sunday saying what a legend he is first.

Hope for the future we use the experience from the chelsea game & palace game to alter our approach when needs be.
We can use the chelsea game to break teams down by not panicking. Not hitting aimless crosses into the box or shooting from distance for the sake of it. Learn from Atletico's approach to beating organised busses...diagonal balls which are pulled back across on the ground where defenders may not be as effective as they might normally be aerially.
Use the palace game to understand when it's needed to defend better to protect a lead.
Come on you Reds!

We play the most exciting football in the league, no question in my mind on this and this season is the most I've enjoyed football since we last won the league!
Fans of the Mancs, Chelsea and the other sides can say what they like but they'd ****ing love to play with the style and attacking verve we produce week in week out.
We need to tighten up at the back but that will come with additions in the Summer.
Rodgers and his brand of football

Like has been said, Rodgers' tactics are the reason we are in a title fight, I trust him to fix what's wrong and I can't fault him or the team for anything. Hopefully he'll be trusted to pick his own players for the season now.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostWe play the most exciting football in the league, no question in my mind on this and this season is the most I've enjoyed football since we last won the league!

suarez gone, will we still be attacking with two front men or will it be sturridge backed by a stronger midfield...
on days when were werent on fire suarez would sometimes make his own goals from nothing with almost no team support.
i can see the emphasis being more about a harder working midfield and full backs, pressing to win us possession, players who are better able to support the attack and who will also be able to shoot and hit the barn door, unlike henderson and coutinho apart from the odd rare goal.
maybe less goals for the main striker, but a better work ethic with better goal contributions all round.
the better pressing and more mobile midfield will hopefully mean the defence is less vulnerable, and maybe the addition of maybe lovren will mean better, more shouty structure to our defensive unit.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

This is a better place for it Dave

So do we carry on being us, the LFC from last season, mad as box of frogs. Do it as well as we can and see where it takes us. Or do we change tack and try do what everyone else does only try to do it better than they do, tighten up and the back, be efficient in winning football matches even if its boring.
I'd like us to stay as mad as box of frogs but ultimately will it result in shiny things in the trophy room?

I think we'll be playing with one up top now i.e Sturridge, whilst obviously we'll miss Suarez with his goals and assists it could help us be a bit harder to break down as a side and leave us conceding less goals.
I imagine we'll set up something like this next season with the players we've currently got but this will likely change depending on who we bring in between now and the start of the season (Skrtel & Enrique are in bold as I expect them to be replaced)
……………………..Migonlet………………………..
Johnson….Skrtel…….Sakho…….Enrique
……………………….Gerrard………………………………
………...Henderson…………..Can………………………
…Sterling…………………………..Lallana……………………
……………………….Sturridge……………………………………
