Late contribution, but I thought Chelsea's youngsters looked a lot better than ours. Two lates goals was what they deserved. Their midfielders were infinitely skilful than ours, and if we're going to persist with the likes of Lussey then we wont' be making much headway fast.

Its not about the result really, however can't help wondering why the two Spanish top dogs we had in U16s/reserves are no longer involved day to day at this level. Seems like our structure is regressing unfortunately. However, nice to have the likes of Ibe and McLaghlin in our team.

Was at the game tonight. Chelsea looked a lot stronger especially in the 2nd half. They had 2 goals disallowed for offside and numerous other chances. Appeared to be like the description of the 1st leg with Chelsea dominant in the centre of the park and good on the flanks as well. Both our full backs looked poor and our general movement was poor - too many medium passes with little support and options for the player receiving the ball. Chelsea appeared to always have more to offer and took their foot off the gas in the final 1/4 . Stand out player for us was the goalkeeper, made some very good saves.

Indeed Ibe didn't make much difference in the first leg. Sad to say it but Liverpool is reverting to filling its youth squad with **** again. Nothing wrong with getting local youngsters in but we're doing it at the expense of quality.

Ok, **** was harsh. But the quality is definitely headed in the wrong direction for my liking. Unlike Chelsea we can't afford to fill every slot in the first team with expensive purchases so are more reliant on potential world class youngsters.

Nobody watching U21s away to UTD? Suso, Flanagan, Wisdom and Shelvey all starting. The boys from the first team certainly show.

We are 1-0 up with a goal from Shelvey. It's the Semis of the competition too, so a final could be in the offing.
