He could have saved himself the bother and asked us instead.Originally posted by peekay View PostI agree but I think Rodgers is using this preseason to decide who can definitely be sold and who has the potential to fit into his system. This is the only chance he has to watch them in something resembling a competitive game.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Home from Fenway after the 4 hour late night drive... fun match, great to see so many young players get experience against a good Roma side; I predicted us losing 3-1 in another thread and wasn't far off--they should have had 6 and we should have had a few more too. If anyone had to score for them, I am glad it was Michael Bradley --at £4 million he is a steal. I would have liked him at that price over Allen-- I thought he was excellent, as was their midfield. Aqua and Adam paled in comparison. Jonjo was very good, Suso is a threat but was sloppy in his interchanges with Flannagan, etc etc. You had a better view than me, so I'll shut up.
My main concern for us was the play of Enrique-- his positioning was terrible, especially in the first half. The Roma RB had the run of the place as Sterling was unable to get back. I thought Pacheco played well-- he was constantly open on the wing but we had a hard time switching the point of attack quickly. I've been impressed with Agger in this system--he and Skrtel did well. But it was essentially a reserve side for us and they did well enough considering Roma's playing many of their top players... nice chance to see the Red shirt in action regardless.
Was really disappointed in the Fenway Kop-- very quiet until we scored. No players who have a song were on for us (Cara?) and the crowd struggled to unify and sing, but LDH and I had fun anyway.
I'll be in Baltimore on Saturday... looking forward to seeing a fit Gareth Bale in action (*ha)

TBF, we are still waiting for a BR win LOL. As far as those pricks at Sky are concerned it is a monkey on his back now and they are gonna milk it whilst they can.
Anyone could see that we have played about 4 different and very inexperienced teams, so results don't matter much at this stage. Lose against Spurs on Saturday and I think BR will be under immense pressure.

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
