I'd suggest the age difference plus Gerrard's injury record as deciding factors

Really? I remember seeing Gerrard and Suarez on the pitch together. Must have been subbed on. Either way GJ, Stevie and Luis didn't raise my confidence in a game they were trying to take 'easy'.

Yeah Gerrard & Suarez were sent on the 2nd half to try and save the day. I agree with you though, I hope we continue to start with the youngsters & fringe players in this competition.

Don't see it personally. Hope I'm wrong but to me he looks a lesser Guthrie or even Potter.
