Depends how the game pans out (obviously) Udinese didn't look all that good until they scored, and then we were all over the place.Originally posted by red g View PostAre they that good though? I would be more worried playing the other russian teams? only 1 of there players made the russian squad for the Euros, Diarra will be out and they have a couple of brazilians. Zhirkov hardly set the premier alight although always rated Samba.
I think Sterling will tear these a new arsehole.

Yup they very useful side, very good forward line that can cause problems on the deck and in the air. Eto'O is lightening and Traore is absolutely enormous! Depending on who they start they have fairly big side... we're a worry defensively as it is so i'd be concerned about set pieces especially with Samba & Traore coming onto crosses with Jones in between the sticks.Originally posted by red g View PostAre they that good though? IMO we need to win this to stay in good position in the table & with our ****ty home form, dodgy backline & a question mark over who Rogers will start with Everton coming up.... it's going to be a tough ask.

I was thinking of the players like Coates that don't really get a look-in for the Prem.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostOn form, our strongest side includes many of the youngsters.
If younger players have to cover for more established, injured players, those younger players would be better equipped by having more experience - experience they can gain from gaimes like this.Originally posted by Tee View PostOur strongest side actually contains a few youngsters. And by keeping faith I mean if some of the more established players get injured, we have the youngsters to cover them.
My point about playing a weakened side isn't really about youngsters vs established players, though; I'm more interested in saving the strongest team for Sunday, and using a combo of young players that don't get much Prem time and (established) garbage like Downing and Cole.

its no good bringing the likes of gerrard or suarez off the bench if we are behind and chasing the game. this tactic has often failed in the past, notably for rafa.
far better to get a lead, and if a couple up after 15 minutes into the second half then make some changes and rest the stronger players. this method has done dbf well for many years... it would be madness not to.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
