BOOM - what a prick John Cross is. He should keep his anti Liverpool sentiment to himself!

Some players are made of glass), some seem to take ages to repair and some it is at least as much about their minds as their bodies. Robben was of course one of the latter, so it is possible to sort that out and make them functioning players (although maybe Saha illustrates that it is not always possible). The first two though destroy careers (eg Carroll, Agger, Anderton, latter part of Owen's career and so on).

I think Sturridge is in the third category, so there remains the possibility that his career can be saved. But if we are to progress we need to have a squad that is not dependent on him being fit.

We bought Balotelli. There will be someone who will buy sturridge.

If that is to be believed Sturridge is a goner. The club wont want that sort of expense on the books. We will end up losing money on this player after we have subsidised his wages.

Who's going to pay for and pay a footballer who doesn't play?
G nobody is talking about ending any contracts, we are discussing selling him. Hypothetically, lets say hes fit, its summer, we set a price of 10 million, we will have a lot of clubs interested. They then take over his contract, he will most likely be on the same money or there abouts. We could say, sorry Dan your time is up at LFC, best you take a move because you will not be in the first team plans next season. He goes.

If his new club agrees to pay him the same as us there's no problem, if they won't there is one. He's apparently on 150k. I'd say that would make him the highest earner at any club in the league except both manc clubs and Chelsea. There's not a cat in hells chance with his record that another club agrees to make him their highest earner so we'd be on the hook for the balance.

So be it and that's factored into his price. I can see him at West Ham, maybe Spurs, a host of foreign clubs. He may have take hit in his salaries. If he digs his heels in, I would look into tearing up his contract if lets say the rumours of him refusing to play are true. **** knows .. All I do know is I am totally over him now, exasperated is the word I am ****ing exasperated with Daniel Sturrudge, take the hit get rid.

He's doing my tits in too by not being fit to play but he's still the best striker at the club so I want us to focus on replacing him first then selling him when we have better than him in the team, cos if we don't then the priority remains getting him fit and playing. Maybe if he felt he wasn't top dog that might inspire him again, like it did when Luis was around.

I don't want to live in a world where Ings, as much as I like him, Origi and ****ing Benteke are the only strikers at the club. At least with Sturridge there's hope, but its the hope that kills you!

Yeah but G, there comes a time when you have to draw a line under matters. A ferrari with no wheels ... looks pretty, potentially is one of the fastest cars in the world, but its still a Ferrari with no ****ing wheels mate

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We've been unlucky with Sturridge mainly due to the fact the other strikers at the club over the last 2 seasons have either been injured long term or rubbish. That makes his absence from the team all the more acutely felt.

Last season we had Balotelli who failed, Lambert who was a carthorse and Borini who simply lacked quality.

This season we have Benteke who isn't good enough, Ings who looks decent but has been injured almost the entire year and Origi who looks mediocre (when fit) at best.

In that scenario the team without Sturridge who when fit is two to three levels above the best of the 6 strikers mentioned above really hurts the team.

The £57million we spent on Benteke, Balotelli and Borini is yet another example of our poor transfer record over the last few seasons

Origi under Rodgers has looked mediocre. Under Klopp he looks intelligent and dangerous.

just before his injury he had start to look like a player,he was growing in confidence.

I think there is something to work with in regards to Origi

I reckon he could end up a half decent player
