Strange one for me as lots of us have said on his day he is our best player BUT we are now in the 2nd season when he has hardly played for us.
This season is going the same as last with us around 8th in the league because we can't put the ball in the net for which he is the best finisher in the team.
Do we keep hoping for him to get fit and a run of games , or treat him like spurs did with Ledley King because we can afford to ?Comment

I think he's equally fragile mentally and physically (from what Gerrard has said), which is a nightmare scenario for us.
Its okay people saying its not our money so don't concern yourself with it, but the club will have a limited pot of money allocated to salaries, and when the player taking the biggest slice of that pie hardly ever kicks a ball, it becomes a problem.
Ledley had ongoing issues with his knees, but made himself available every game he could. From what I understand Danny has a history of various injuries, its a different thing altogether. Ledley was a warrior who played himself through the pain barrier, Danny is the complete opposite and won't play unless he feels 100%.SakhoPotatoesComment

This is complete rubbish though, we've seen him many times on a pitch for us where he's clearly about 30% fit if that! When he scored the winner v Moyes Man Utd at Anfield he looked like he should be in a hospital bed or something and probably would have been nowhere near the pitch if Suarez wasn't banned at the time.Originally posted by tanner View Post

didnt gerrard have to beg him to make himself available to play against manure. studge did and then played well. you do have to doubt that he can make a sensible decision as to how fit he is. maybe he asks god to send him a sign to show he is fit enough to play...
