John Cross saying Sturridge is fed up over criticism of his desire to play and is desperate for a chance to get back to playing football. Cross says he is now back in training, feels sharp and there are no fitness doubts in his mind.
Pinch of salt, Sturridge can't be that much of an arse to get fit and demand a transfer.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

We will definitely buy a new first choice striker in the summer so he can do whatever the **** he likes. Its not like there'll be mass hysteria about signing a guy who will miss over 50% of your games and single handedly use up all your medical department resources.
Even if its all bull**** we still need to find someone else.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

If he has worked hard to get himself fit and has made himself available but not been selected then I think that would be the sensible course for him to take. From the perspective of managing Sturridge alone (rather than long term and the 'group' where things may pan out differently) I think Klopp has done a terrible job. If Rodgers had come out with the comments he has in press conferences about our player he would have been slaughtered for them.Originally posted by The_weatherman View Posthttp://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...summer-7309629

I think some of his behaviour is a bit annoying but on balance I don't think he doesn't do anything that isn't justified by being caught up in the moment. On balance his excitability in that arena is a big plus to the game.Originally posted by BigChief View PostThat's because Rodgers would have been slaughtered anyway, even for yawning when he woke up in the morning. There was nothing wrong with Klopp's comments personally.
Would you like Klopp to cut out his '****tish' behaviour on the sidelines too? It's just who he is.
His interviews are generally under control - indicating a choice on his behalf. I think open criticism of players rarely pays dividends, and bad motivation of our best player seems like a poor decision to me. In the long run it might pay off as other players don't 'let him down', but right now if Sturridge is fit but not playing that is hurting us."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

The talking to the press about, or the general handling of him? Either way I'm not sure I agree. I don't recall him being as publicly negative as Rodgers was with Mignolet, for example. Albeit that's a reasonably extreme example (in context)Originally posted by dww View PostI think some of his behaviour is a bit annoying but on balance I don't think he doesn't do anything that isn't justified by being caught up in the moment. He is constantly asked about Sturridge, and has he alludes to many times (too many times?) he HAS to give an answer. He could of course just say there is no update
The handling of strikes me as sensible, given his history; but we don't know whether or not that's actually the case. Klopp might well be asking too much of the player to train as per his model, but end of the day he is the manager so it's up to the players to conformI saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

I think both the general handling and the press coverage. The fact he is more subtle than Rodgers and talks with more bonhomie makes his jibes sound less pointed but he has essentially questioned Sturridges professionalism in public. If I were Sturridge I would have been furious with that.Originally posted by Fierce View PostKlopp has done a terrible job in what sense? Aye, Klopp is absolutely right in forcing the issue.Originally posted by BigChief View PostAnd he might be angry enough to get fit or die trying. Finally!
Klopp's done us all a favour. Whether he stays and scores zillions of goals for us or we get a large fee in the summer. A decision will have been made.Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon
