I thought our front 3 were all pretty average yesterday. Studge I can just about excuse because he has been out for so long but Coutinho and Firmino were disappointing.

Kompany was back which made Otamendi play better and added to that they had Fernando & Fernandinho plugging most of the holes where the two above like to operate. I don't think there are any fantastic defenders in the Premier League at the moment, he's just the best of the bunch. He's prone to massive errors the same as any of them.Comment

re Kompany, yeah he's good, I'm not disputing that. I think we're in an era of poor defenders across the Premier League. I don't think he is better than any of the outstanding central defenders of the last decade or so - for example, Sami, Carragher, Vidic, Terry, Campbell, Ferdinand, Colin Hendry... the list goes onComment
