I thought our front 3 were all pretty average yesterday. Studge I can just about excuse because he has been out for so long but Coutinho and Firmino were disappointing.

He'll get sharper with time, he's been out for 18 months for goodness sakes!

Kompany was back which made Otamendi play better and added to that they had Fernando & Fernandinho plugging most of the holes where the two above like to operate. City were solid yesterday and I think we missed a genuine pacy wide threat yesterday because Clichy and Sagna can be got at.Originally posted by Big-Red-Ed View PostI thought our front 3 were all pretty average yesterday. Company absolutely owned our forwards. He's utter class that lad"When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

Cant say on Rush as he was before my time, but I'm sure i recall seeing the odd one here and there in goal highlights.Originally posted by dom9 View PostIan Rush didn't take penalties.
Torres didn't take them either.
Torres has taken loads of penalties. He used to take Atletico's before coming to us and probably would have taken ours had we not had Gerrard. He was pretty **** at them though."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

Same for any defender, ever.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostI don't think there are any fantastic defenders in the Premier League at the moment, he's just the best of the bunch. He's prone to massive errors the same as any of them.
When he's fit and on form he's a WC defender. Very decent bloke as well.

Owen took penalties and had a garbage conversion rate.
re Kompany, yeah he's good, I'm not disputing that. I think we're in an era of poor defenders across the Premier League. I don't think he is better than any of the outstanding central defenders of the last decade or so - for example, Sami, Carragher, Vidic, Terry, Campbell, Ferdinand, Colin Hendry... the list goes on

Its not just the premier league. £50m for a player of David Luiz's abilities should be testament to that.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostOwen took penalties and had a garbage conversion rate.
