I don't know why anyone would consider selling him... he remains statistically our best ever striker, based on goals to games ratio... and when you consider the other strikers we have had... Rush, Aldridge, Fowler, Owen, Torres, Suarez... being "lazy" is not a problem.

I like sturridge clearly a good player but he isn't available for enough games. From September 2015Originally posted by Buzzo View PostIsn't Sturridges goals to mins played ratio the best of any forward we've ever had?
Strurridge now averages 0.65 goals per Liverpool appearance, edging Torres, who scored 0.64 goals a game in a red shirt.
Sturridge's injury record makes his tally, which stands overall at 42 goals in 69 Liverpool appearances, all the more impressive.
Luis Suarez, who linked up with Sturridge to devastating effect when Liverpool finished second in the Premier League two seasons ago, scored 69 times in 110 league games at an average of 0.63 a game.

Sturridge's minutes per goal ratio of 117.6 is the best of any Liverpool player in Premier League history, putting him ahead of the likes of Fernando Torres (121.3 minutes per goal), Luis Suarez (138.8 minutes per goal) and Michael Owen (142.58 minutes per goal).Originally posted by Buzzo View PostIsn't Sturridges goals to mins played ratio the best of any forward we've ever had?
It just takes him half a season to play those many minutes.

Roy Hodgson has warned he will give no special protection to Daniel Sturridge while on England duty despite his injury problems for Liverpool.
The striker's season has been decimated yet again by injury having made a return at the start of the campaign from five months out following a hip operation.
'It'll be interesting to see how Daniel Sturridge is,' Hodgson said. 'His record with England is not bad. We've not seen him with England since we had to send him back to Liverpool injured.'
'We haven't seen him for a long time, as you point out. He turned up for one other camp after getting fit but picked up a knock on the Saturday and had to go home again.
'We wouldn't be looking to take extra special care with him than we do with all the other players. But we will be aware of what he needs, and what he has been doing to improve his chances to play every week with Liverpool. We will continue that type of programme."
