If we thought that his fitness means he's unlikely to pay more than 20% of games we'd probably look to get rid, but we'd probably value him less, presumably there is some kind of sliding scale between the two and if someone offers in excess of that we will sell him.
I think if we had other players in that position, so he only had to play one game a week, his muscle injuries would be much less and we wouldn't miss him half as much. Truth is from an accounting basis there is no need to sell him as his fee will have been fully discounted now. If we are under pressure to book a profit then it would make sense for the club to sell, but I don't believe that to be the case, so to be honest we might as well keep him assuming we are willing to pay his wages.
    Really?

According to Bascombe Sturridge is already a doubt for the England game v Scotland on June the 10th due to his long term hip problem.

If he was willing to accept a bit-part/impact role and if we bought adequate cover to compensate for the inevitable periods when he's crocked, then I'd hang on to him. He's an elite player and has a rare cutting edge and a ruthlessness sadly absent in the likes of Firmino and Lallana, and that sort of thing is vital in Champions League. It might be a case that we go down the route of singing 'improvers' again so it'd be good to have a few proven lads knocking around too. Unfortunately that's a luxury we might not be able to afford if, as is usually the case, we need to sell to raise funds before buying anyone half-decent.

Daniel Sturridge's Liverpool future remains uncertain as the striker was ruled out of England's June internationals.

The Reds frontman shone in Wednesday's 3-0 friendly win over Sydney FC in Australia, but it has emerged that he was playing through the pain barrier for the opening 45 minutes after completing a gruelling 24 hours of travelling.

Sturridge will have an injection in his hip in a bid to combat the discomfort when Jurgen Klopp's squad return to the UK on Friday – ruling him out of the World Cup qualifier against Scotland on June 10 and the friendly against France three days later.

The 27-year-old's priority is ensuring that he's ready for the start of pre-season training in July, but there are no guarantees that he will still be a Liverpool player then.

Sturridge, who has two years remaining on his £150,000 per week contract, started just seven Premier League matches during another injury-plagued season.

Sounds like a 'tactical' injury to keep him safe for pre season/transfer.

There he is supposedly having an experience of a lifetime. Instead of being in the moment and interacting with the giraffe, he's stood at arms length watching himself feed the thing on his phone. FFS! ****ing millenials. This world is gone to **** for an instapic and a few ****ing likes.

What happened to someone else taking a picture of you? They do realise that photos can be sent via Messenger, Email or other means? Isn't there a bevvy of LFC press doing this ****?

I don't think a giraffe gets the same privileges as the players?
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

he might be less likely to stub his toe on his hoover while hes doing a video selfie of his daft dancing too.
yea **** art! he needs to quickly adopt the philistine like approach of your stereotypical english footballer/fan or **** off.

Unbelievable stuff with regards to these young millenials and their selfies as well. Why do things ever change? whatever was wrong with the old way?

I'm not even sure the idea of colour photography sits well with me to be honest.
