He scores a goal every 171 minutes compared to Firmino at a goal every 142 minutes (17/18). Thats still better than a goal every other game and pretty decent to have as a backup.

I for one love all the pressing from the front and tracking back that Sturridge offers.

im not saying he us perfect, but in an ideal world if everyone stays fit he is not going to play much anyway. id rather we focus on the obvious hole Coutinho has left and maybe wait until the summer to worry about a striker... after we are crowned European Champions

It’s not just a matter of us keeping him in case we might need him, he’s desperate to play to force his way into the WC squad. Can’t blame him for wanting to get some game time elsewhere to try & do that.

When fit. Which is rarely. Salah and Mane can both play as number 9 or false nines. Sturridge is finished, I'm staggered people still back him. If we get offered 20m he'll be gone.
