I know we haven’t played him much & there’s a reason for that too. He’s a shadow of his former self & not up to our standard. Ings has scored goals in the Prem before joining us & before his serious injury. If Klopp, who sees him train every day by the way, thinks he’s still got it & can do a job for us when needed then that’s good enough for me.
Solanke hasn’t scored for us yet but I get the feeeling it’s only a matter of time. He looks smart & not out of place at all in our side & we have the luxury of easing him in whilst he trains & learns his role in the side.
If the club are offered the reported 30m they'd have to take it for a player that has become so peripheral that he often doesn't make the bench even when fit. Solanke is more often than not the preferred option off the bench even if Daniel is sat their next to him.
