Good luck Daniel. Loved watching him play. Right up there with our very best strikers.

Such a shame he was ruined with injuries as he was on another planet in 13/14.

Despite the injuries, he's still a really good player. Just won't work for him under Klopp. He'll still do well for many a team. WBA, I'm not sure, but most teams, yes.

I hope he tears its up and proves his fitness and we then can get a decent fee for him cos linda needs some new shoes.

We are now weaker than we were before the January transfer window. Watching all the teams around us get stronger, whilst not replacing Coutinho or Sturridge is madness (even if we did sign Van Dyke). I know the Sturridge isn't as good as he used to be and we all know about his injuries. But despite him not fitting into Klopp's style of play, I'd much rather have him in a goal scoring opportunity thank Ings or Solanke atm. Best of luck at WBA Danny.

Agreed, Klopp has let him go as he is a people person & Sturridge wants one last shot at a world cup.

I think it's totally the wrong decision from JK & we will regret it

Think his world cup dreams are a bit deluded. Kane first choice obviously, probably Vardy back up. Rashford will go for the experience, maybe play wide. Does Sturridge just want a selfie on the bench

An injury to any one of those three would leave the door open though.

You only get the opportunity of 2 or 3 World Cups in your career. Sturridge would be mad to think he cannot impact in the current forward line for England (he definitely offers something different than those 2).

I totally understand his reasons for leaving. I understand less our reasons for letting him go.

                          That would do nicely.
Leicester have said they want nearer to £100m for Mahrez

Hes lost tons of pace though, it wasnt his major assett and he will still be alright for them but a big part of his game was quick feet and going past players

I would be surprised if he set the world alight there but he might be good enough for them

If they can set the team up to give him chances then he'll do well (providing he stays fit), he's just not the same player as he was in 13/14. The pace he had then is long gone.

Unfortunately we are in part responsible for this. If Coutinho is worth £140m then we can't expect to get Mahrez for £40.
