From everything I've read and heard in the media the team got loads of praise for Sunday. It's just that Swansea's weakened team was also mentioned, and rightly so, they were terrible. That striker.
Maybe you're all watching different programmes and reading different reports to me..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

IN WHAT Reds fans hope will be another historic European week at Anfield, Liverpool have already proved to be the kings of Europe in one significant area.
And it’s a feat that not even Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Paris St Germain have matched.
When Liverpool routed Swansea 5-0 on Sunday, the Reds hammered 35 shots at an exposed Michel Vorm’s goal.
That’s more than any other team has managed in a single match in Europe’s top four divisions this season
And ironically boss Brendan Rodgers explained that the remarkable achievement came about in a match in which the Reds’ priority was to keep shots down at their own goal!
“Going into the game it was about keeping a clean sheet because in the last four games, we haven’t been at our best defensively,” he said. “We looked to dominate and create chances and we did.”
At half-time the Reds had recorded a huge 22 shots at goal – but only Steven Gerrard had scored, and that from the penalty spot.
But in the second period Liverpool finally got the reward their efforts deserved with another four goals from 13 shots.
Liverpool’s sharpshooters just edged out Tottenham’s 34-shot achievement when they beat Reading 3-1 on New Year’s Day.
Third in the most shots table was Newcastle, also against Swansea, while Everton’s was the most dominant away display this season – a remarkable 31 shots – once again against Swansea back in September.
But the Premier League’s most dominant display in recent seasons came on the final day of last season when a desperate Manchester City managed 44 shots against Queens Park Rangers – almost one every two minutes. The last, from Sergio Aguero, won them the title.
Most shots in a game (Europe 2012-13)
1. LIVERPOOL v Swansea 35
2. SPURS v Reading 34
3. NEWCASTLE v Swansea 32
4. Swansea v EVERTON 31
5. ROMA v Cagliari 31
6. Cagliari v JUVENTUS 30
7. Brest v PARIS ST GERMAIN 30
8. BAYER LEVERKUSEN v Borussia Moenchangladbach 30
9. JUVENTUS v Atalanta 30
10. LIVERPOOL v Sunderland 29
Another great little stat to the game - and then the fact we are the first team to reach more than 500 shots on goal this season in the big leages just add's to the fact that we are building something interesting here

Almost identically to us then. Not a surprise as both teams are Rodgers' (almost). Doesn't speak volumes for the genius of Laudrup yet either.Originally posted by Darkon View PostAye, that really surprised me as well I have seen them play very well defensively most of the times I have watched them. And they havn't let in more goals than us for the result of it. Wonder if they just have some really bad off days at times?
Both teams also under the same transition of new manager and a few new players settling in. Both teams also playing the expansive style instead of the same old English rubbish which requires immense concentration before becoming second nature. One tit for another.

well done LFC
Everton and Newcastle managed around 30 shots against them as well so it takes the shine off a little bit.
