Looks a bit imbalanced doesn't it Pabs. Four centre mids.

Annoying to break up the functioning Lucas-Gerrard-Henderson partnership just to fit an off-form Allen in. And Sterling should be starting in this one too
I don't think he's doing it 'just' to fit Allen in to the team.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

It does, especially as we'll be on the attack for the vast majority of the game. I fully expect them to sit very, very deep and look to counter attack as we over-commit. We'd have a much better chance of breaking them down with someone like Sterling running at them all game. Looks like we've shoehorned Allen in the team for the sake of it to me.

Yeah, can just imagine the manager sitting at home thinking he doesnt care about the result, he just has to get his boy in the team.

            Ha

I worry about a lack of goals in that side but to be fair the available alternatives don't offer a goal threat either.

They've lost 7 of their last 9 European away games.

                Stop being a tit again

Obviously he feels it's for the good of the team, he feels he needs him out there. I just feel it affects the balance of the team and that we'd be more of an attacking threat with someone like Sterling out there. Even with Sterling on the bench I'd have preferred moving Enrique up to LM, bringing Wisdom in at RB and shifting Johnson to LB.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

                          Thus.

4-2-3-1 with Henderson and Downing either side of Gerrard
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

I'd bring Sterling on later. Hulk & Anyukov gave him & Enrique the run around last week and he hardly got forward.

Whilst we need goals, we need a miracle if we concede, so best keeping it tight initially & let a fresh Sterling give us some impetus of the bench.
                              Forwards.......

Agreed, but I wouldn't be shocked if he put Allen in behind Suarez. He's done it before already this season.
