Yeah but how many teams going for 4th can say they got beat at home to Villa when they were losing 8-0 and on an awful run. I agree the Everton game was a joke, that decision was purely based on the hatred of Suarez and I'll not be convinced otherwise.

That was an awful offside decision, but the goal should not have stood anyway (for me that's a clear foul by Coates), so from the justice point of view the outcome was still correct. The fault was all ours, we had a 2-0 lead and we played like **** afterwards. WBA and Villa games though...

Threw points away against City twice, and Arsenal.

The Arsenal game alone would be enough for us to be 5th outright.

So that's eight points lost (including Everton) and the next round of the Europa for stupid mistakes or crap refereeing.

Nothing we can do about it but at least we can say we should be in a better position that we are!

We'd be pushing for 2nd place if that were the case!

Every team in the league can point to points lost where they should have won. Pointless & ridiculous and it's something we as LFC fans have been doing for far to long, as that's what the also rans hang on too.

Its time to achieve something and people are right, if we get 12 points from the next 4, we will no doubt be serious challengers for fourth.

That would be 7 league wins on the bounce. When was the last time we did that? It's unlikely if we're honest.

What's more, we'd probably have to get 70 points to have a chance of 4th. So we can only drop two points now all season from 9 games. 11 wins and a draw from our last 12? Doesn't happen often in this league.

Let's take one game at a time and see if we have the momentum. Things are looking better though.

I looked at the fixtures when Sky put them up after the game and genuinelly thought 17 points minimum.
I know we've been inconsistent but that was (mainly) earlier in the season.
We've also now got goals coming from all over the place so even if Suarez does go a few games without scoring Sturridge, Coutinho, Downing and even Henderson and Allen have looked a lot more threatening.

There is a real sense that we could have a massive late run at this, our 2 hardest remaining games are Everton and Chelsea at home, Everton are in a shocking run of form and Moyes is almost certain to **** off and Chelsea will still have civil war with Rafa because we'll give him a great reception when he comes back.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

This is just the time when we throw in an awful performance against an average/**** side. Just had a big win vs a competitor, closing the gap to the top 4 and the team are on a bit of a run. Insert 3-0 loss to a team fighting relegation with their fullback scoring a goal from 40 yards and their keeper having a stormer.

I had similar us in 5th and 5 points behind Tottenham.

                        I finished with

                        20. Reading
                        19. Villa
                        18. Wigan
                        17. QPR

Wigan 3 points behind QPR but with 2 games in hand.
