One more point for the scumbags and the league's out of our reach.

There are too many to do based on all possible combinations but assuming the top 7 win all their games not involving another top 7 club by 1 goal to nil the table will look like this

        Scum....35...92..+44
        Citeh....35...80..+34
        Spuds...34...72..+22
        Arse.....36...71..+29
        Chavs...34...70..+32
        Us........35...63..+27
        Bitters..33....60..+14

So Arsenal have the fewest games remaining against top 7 opposition and half of Evertons remaining fixtures are against top teams. 4 of them are away and Citeh are the only ones they play at home.

Obviously its extremely unlike all teams will win all games but it does eliminate bias/optimism from predictions and leaves us with only matches involving the key teams to predict/evaluate

        United v City 8th April
        Arsenal v United 28th April
        United v Chelsea 4th May
        ****s

Everton v Man City 16th March
        United v City 8th April
        Spurs v City 21st April
Will probably hang on to second. Just

        Liverpool v Spurs 10th March
        Spurs v Everton 7th April
        Chelsea v Spurs 14th April
        Spurs v City 21st April
Hopefully this will be the demise of spurs. If they only pick up 2 or 3 points from this 9 I can not see them finishing any higher than 4th

        Chelsea v Spurs 14th April
        Liverpool v Chelsea 21st April
        United v Chelsea 4th May
        Chelsea v Everton 19th May
Hope Chelsea and Spurs kick lumps out of each other 3 reds a side and 1-1 give us an easier game against Chelsea the next week with Agent Benitez

        Arsenal v Everton 16th April
        Arsenal v United 28th April
Easiest run in, but out of form with a mad manager

Everton v Man City 16th March
        Spurs v Everton 7th April
        Arsenal v Everton 16th April
        Liverpool v Everton 4th May
        Chelsea v Everton 19th May
        7th place for Everton

        Liverpool v Spurs 10th March
        Liverpool v Chelsea 21st April
        Liverpool v Everton 4th May
3 home ties, spaced out. Can't complain too much

3 teams (Arse, Spurs, City) all have to go to currently 8th Swansea
2 teams (Arse and United) have to go to currently 9th placed West Brom
Arsenal also have to go to 10th placed Fulham but given there is a 7 points gap between 9th and 10th its less challenging than it may initially sound.

The only way we can finish in a better position is by winning our games and putting pressure on teams.

Spurs are starting to get comfy in the top 4 and I doubt Chelsea seriously think they have too much of an issue. Arsenal probs think its 5th or higher for them.

We need to beat Spurs and start giving those sides above us something to think of. Everyone outside the club and most supporters are waiting for us to crash and burn. Whenever is see the debate over a top 4 position we are not even included, yet Everton are.

Beat Spurs and people will have to take us seriously and that will only make our competitors nervous.
              Forwards.......

The only way we can get into Europe is by finishing 5th, unless Chelsea win the FA Cup and finish 5th, which allocates 6th place a Europa League spot.

I know we do this all the time and it's total folly but the next four are very winnable. 10 points minimum please.

                      they most certainly are!!!

10 points would surely see us close the gap to 5th & 4th place.

If Chelsea or Spurs win the Europa that place will go to 6th in the league if they are already in Europe.

I think we'll end up regretting games like Villa and West Brom at home which will be torture.

Said it for a while though, keep Suarez and invest well and we'll be much, much better placed to go again next year.

CL football this year would be unbelievable though.

I'm sure other teams can look back at their poor results and think the same but we were truly robbed at Everton. We should be above Arsenal right now and 5 points to 4th place.

My fear are the teams at the bottom which will scrap like dogs for a result to stay in the PL. Southampton, QPR and Reading to come. Hopefully our class will tell and we'll be too good for them.
