I'm definitely no optimist, however our goal has to be Europa style European footy, anything more and we would need to go on a run that we have shown no signs of being capable of. At least 3/4 of those results would need to happen before any top 4 talk should be aired in public.

But it's sport, and it doesn't hurt to dream.

'3 nil down at half time in Istanbul'.

        Great thread.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

The main point is that almost anything can happen in football.

We can win the last 10 games of the season, not realistic but we can do it. We have the best player in the league in Suarez and now also players like Sturridge and Coutinho.

I can without doubt say that we have the best attack in the league now. Not the best squad yet but if you look at our best starting XI and the way we play then no team can say that they have a better starting XI than us.

That is progress, big progress, compared to only a year ago.

We have the best defensive midfielder back in form after his big injury problems. We have one of the best keepers in Reina.

Sort out the defense and we will be able to challenge every club in the league.

IMO all we are missing is one Hyypia type of defender. A defender that leads by example every week. It won't be easy finding that player but Rodgers try his very best.

We also have many excellent youngsters coming through.

We have made big progress this season, big progress. Not if you look at the results but if you look at the starting XI then it's big progress.

With the right signings in the summer then we can match the squad of every club in the league.

We already have the starting XI to do it. Now we need to get the squad to do it.

              I know I shouldn't, but...

I do love a good meltdown. They're great.

Forester Man, do you generally have trouble with people disagreeing with you? If so, hanging around on the internet might not be the best thing for you.
              Oh I don't know.

Meltdowns are what make the internet so great. Sure, you can do things that we could only dream of doing years ago. It's the great enabler. But nothing beats a bit of plot losing. Irrationality FTW!!!!!

Well this is where we are at the moment based on the second half of this season.

We're certainly moving forwards IMO and if we can carry this form for the rest of the season we'd have done well.

Shows how well the Mancs are playing as per usual come the turn of the year and Spurs have really kicked on as well.

Casemore have you recently figured out how to use those tables?

You seem to be placing one in at every oppurtunity!

It's the lack of human contact I reckon. I left most of my friends back in the UK and most people here are into **** like AFL, V8 Supercars, fishing and Rugby League. I find them all a bit dull to be honest.

I'm pretty laid back but I'm finding that general negativity really pisses me off. That and the countless Liberal (Conservative) ****ing idiots who don't believe in fair access to amenities in regional/rural areas unless we pay through the nose because it's not fair that their taxes subsidise our choice to live outside of the major cities. ****ing cunts.

                              Well, whatever floats your boat.

Edit: Wait, you're actually English? You fulfil, the role of stereotypical Aussie extremely well if I may say so. To perfection.
