    FOOTBALL
Dean Holdsworth is in the Sky Sports News studio as we count down to the return of the Premier League and in particular Aston Villa's Super Sunday clash with Liverpool. He has been highlighting the threat Luis Suarez will pose to the Villa defence.
He is a leader and is a constant threat in that box. Believe me you cannot touch him inside that box. He is the Jenga of footballers. He will collapse. But he is a fantastic footballer. In a way it's such a shame - he's on the edge of what is right and wrong in football but Villa defenders must not touch him when he gets in the area. You've got to be tight as tight can be. One little tap and he's the Jenga - he will go down

Unbelievable, the sad thing is they actually believe the drivel they all seem to spout (hacks and pundits) look at players like Bale, Young or Wellbeck who are at it far more often - wonder why it's not thrown at them 24/7 a la Suarez ?

        Because they are British

Scholes was regularly diving. Nothing was ever said about him

But in reality, Suarez doesn't really care what the media or others say about him. The more criticism he gets the more it seems to spur him on

          I know the answer

Little Britain mentality sadly is everywhere in football

I'd like to see a few decent passes and some quick recovery if we lose the ball.

We must not lose the ball. Rodgers have always told FSG that retaining the ball is his goal. If we do not lose the ball then Villa cannot score.

If we lose the ball even once against Villa then I wonder what FSG will think. I'm not saying they should sack him but they have to think about it. And then they must sack him.

He only have himself to blame.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I'm seem to think Easter used to be quite the time for football, with games on Good Friday and Easter Monday ... have I made this up, or has International football screwed this up?

I think you're probably right but maybe the international break stays in much the same place (like there's always one in early September and another in mid-February) while Easter moves around so perhaps it's just this year.
