I seen a European goals summary the other day on BT sport and there was a clip of Pepe Reina not making a save he should have and I thought thank feck we have Mignolet in goal now.
To be fair Reina's having a superb season for Napoli.
But Mignolet looks a better shot stopper than Pepe ever was. Absolutely loving him .....his presence in a 1v1 is Schmeichel-esque.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
Looks quite average in height though, I guess that's why he's not that dominant on crosses. Looks quite slight in body weight as well, but I guess that's a relative measure.
His distribution is looking better, but I'm still not convinced on crossed. When he gets that sorted he'll be really top class. 1 on 1 saves likes the ones vs the bitters are going to build his reputation and hopefully give him the aura that schmeichel (sp) had.
still looks a little nervy, especially in bigger games where the atmosphere is electric - kicking is shaky and nervy with crosses but i don't think our back four help him there.
but those can both be worked on and will improve
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
The Football Ramble described his battle with Lukaku on Saturday as like watching a game on Street Fighter with each player doing their special moves. I like that
Hopefully the Belgium people where watching this game considering how many Belgians played and saw how well Mignolet played. Especially considering I heard that Courtious had a bit of a stinker for Atletico?
It would be great for him to get his chance as Number 1 for them at the WC.
