It's a shame about Mignolet. A promising start - the debut against Stoke where he saved the penalty and made a couple of good saves - has gone to ****. It's clear that he's going to be replaced in the summer. His confidence must be shot to pieces.
Another day Another charachter assination on the players by the manager who signed them
Actually he speaks quite highly of his character. Says he's working hard, trying to improve etc.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
Good game today, dealt with everything quite well. No messing about with his kicking and because of that Sunderland could never press us high. Quite simply him and some of the defenders are so ill suited to passing it about at the back. We looked much better today going back to basics, and thankfully there wasn't too much of a knock on effect in terms of creating less chances.
Just watched the Villa game and Mignolet did really well up until one corner he comes off his line and makes himself look foolish by being nowhere near the ball. He just seems to ruin all the good work he does in one or two calamitous moments.
