I went to the 18's game last night and honestly thought we were very average.
I was shocked at how technically poor a lot of our players were, not once did we play out from the keeper, there was no midfield movement/rotation (Rossiter being the best of a bad bunch) while only Wilson showed any advanced movement and ingenuity.

Came away massively underwhelmed, not one of them stood out like Wisdom, Sterling and Ibe did at the same age.

Wilson has impressed in a lot of matches I've watched this year.

What was the team against Reading? I agree with Birdman, at times our U-18s have been shocking. If my kid played like that in any team I would have him withdrawn for another academy or give him extra training myself.

But at other times, when the teamsheet is right, they play some lovely stuff. Wilson and Kent are the cherries on that pie and often finish weaker teams off. But we're still a million miles off from being a Barca style academy that's for sure.

Not really, I don't think we had any U16's playing.
We might have had more 1st year scholars playing and Reading more 2nd years but we're supposed to be an elite club.
