good going forward, too open defensively. Really good closing down in the first half; not so much of it in the second.

I wouldn't give too much credit to Begovic...apart from the Hendo tip onto the post you'd expect mosy EPL keepers to save them so we need to turn good opportunities into genuinely goal threatening shooting. Sturride a bit greedy and Aspas needs some early goals. The Cout was incredible.

Stoke seemed to think Mignolet had weaknesses in the air and when he had the ball at his feet. And we put ourselves under pressure by our short passing close to our own goal. I thought Lucas played well first half but Stoke got behind him too often in the second.

We will be making progress when games we dominate like that are consistently over by half time.

Just rewatching now, Pulis saying Walters should continue taking penalties because "he's a great lad" seems like a well thought out opinion.

Owen had a cheek calling him a bottler though, his penalties were aids.
