Hopefully he can enjoy a year on loan and make all his mistakes so when he comes back he is ready to be a regular first teamer.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

So he is young and inexperienced.Originally posted by Alex View Post20 I think.
He's not a first team regular, but he has been given opportunities in the lesser games to gain some experience. But he's made some mistakes. So he's hopefully learning from them and gaining experience.
I dunno, on one had, some people are miffed because too many senior players played last night, but on the other hand, when one of the junior players makes some mistakes, they get it in the neck too.
I just think it's easy to get caught up in the passion and minutae of the game and forget about the bigger picture sometimes.Oh I don't know.

With no European football this season we need the League Cup. We haven't got the biggest squad in the PL, but we still need competitive games to keep our peripheral players fit. I agree we could have done without the extra time and it was a serious blow losing Toure. My main worry was a potential injury to Sturridge, but it didn't happen and he will have gained even more confidence from that game.

Yeah we should have made the decision to lose when we used our hindsight machine to see the outcome.Originally posted by Daffy Duck View Post3 injuries and 30 unnecessary minutes played, I'd rather we had lost in regular time and kept all our players. How many times did we hit the ****in woodwork again? This is getting a bit ridiculous. Was muß, das muß.

I think Borini would've come on later had it not been for the Cissokho injury meaning one of our subs was essentially 'wasted'.Originally posted by Rich View PostAnd you've got to worry for Borini if the manager doesn't think he can play an £11m striker at home against **** opposition.

Losing Cissoko really isn't at this stage. Same goes with Allen.
Yesterday was the 28th August, playing an additional 30 minutes will have little effect on a game which isn't until Sunday.
On the positive, we remain in the draw for the next round
Sturridge scored two and his confidence must be sky high
Henderson is coming on leap and bounds
We're still in the ****ing cup!
