Bossed the first half, terrible second half. We ran out of steam once again after 65-70 minutes, and the decision to bring Aspas on was wrong. At that time of the game, we needed to keep the ball, and I was expecting Luis Alberto or Sterling.

Sakho was superb bar a few glitches. Skrtel was poor. Moses did well up until he was substituted.

We just need to know when to slow down, retain some energy and push on again after 70 minutes.

Moses had pace and power, sturridge is goals, countinho is a magician and Henderson is a man machine. Suarez likes to slow it down and do his own thing. But second half, I can see his reluctance to let go of the ball being a positive thing. Be interesting as our points ratio is better without the cunt. But when the cunt plays well he's unplayable.
Who would one of the best strikers in world football come in for?

Pretty much anyone but Sturridge at the minute.

we seem to be playing a very high end game but were not able to get 2/3 goal leads in order to shut up shop..but still excellent so far and we shouldn't forget Rodgers is still learning his trade as he goes along as well he will make mistakes but also learn from them

Some light relief from golfer Lee Westwood (‏@WestwoodLee): “The swan sea defence nearly parted then for Moses! Sorry! Couldn’t resist!”

What?? Are you serious man or what? Skrtel was many people's MOTM & rightly so. Didn't put a foot out of place all night whereas Sakho certainly did.

Yeah I am serious, and it's my opinion.

They did but the Manu defenders were quality and Manu was clinical at the other end. Swansea dominted the majority of the game but couldn't score (more than one).

Good first half, dreadful second. In the end, I was happy to take the point.

Suarez, Allen and Johnson can't come back soon for me. The midfield was weak (can't go the whole distance), as was Wisdom and Suarez is the best player in the league. Still top and unbeaten, but we do need players back from injury.

Not his greatest fan but we really could have done with Allen in that second half, and obviously we missed Johnson and Luis.

Tbf Swansea were there for the taking lastnight, Sturridge should have put that header away and Sturridge had two chances to play the ball to a team mate with loads of space in the box with an open goal, but chose to be greedy. Coutinho was one, can't remember who the other one was. And we were dire in the second half. So yeah very dissapointing, but as Bill Shankly once said "Ay, here we are with problems at the top of the league."

                          Nuff said.

i think that Sakho looked ropey and although you can see he has the talent, i think he will need about 3 months or so to get up to speed with English football. In reality though, we are very strong in that department. Perhaps in recent times Agger would have been patched up and would have played last night but now we have a bit of strenght in depth in defense so it wasnt necessary. One concern with that whole scenario for me though is this: - look at any successful team in the modern history of football and they will have had a settled defense. And with our lack of euro-disney football this season, I dont think we should need to rotate the personnel back there. I think Rodgers dropped the ball by spending £25m on the defense to be honest. Agger, Skrtel, Toure - with Wisdom and Kelly providing cover if really needed should have sufficed. We now have Sakho and Ilori as well but i can't see the game time to go round. I can see us ending up selling Skrtel for something stupid like £6m in Jan.

Carra implied last night that he reckons BR might go towards a 3 man centre defense. It might be the way to get Suarez and Sturridge in the team together. With Johnson and Enrique / Cissokho providing width, Lucas / Gerrard in the middle it would allow Coutinho a free role with Suarez and Sturridge. But personally, i reckon Henderson has been one of the key performers so far this season and we would only realise what he brings to the team (energy, workrate) if he wasnt in it. I would prefer us to stay with a back four but with perhaps Sakho or Agger at left back.

And we are left with a squad that if Gerrard or Lucas got a mid to long term injury, then we would be focked!!!

To summarise though, i am really enjoying watching LFC play again - something i really have not done since the good days of Benitez's red machine. I think a win against Southampton (ad hopefully another clean sheet) should keep the momentum going into a couple of fixtures where we should accumulate a lot of points..... we play Arsenal on the 2nd of November. I can see that being a top-of-the-table clash as United, City, Chelsea and Spurs will all take points off each other until then.... and when they are further behind and under pressure to get all 3 points - well that is when a team is more likely to fock it up and lose a game.

With LFC though, December is likely to shape our season - there are very difficult away games on the 14th (Spurs) and 26th / 28th (City, Chelsea) where if we manage to take something substancial from then we could have a brilliant season.....

I agree what's been said about first vs second half performance yesterday, but overall I'm satisfied with the result. A draw away against a pretty strong Swansea side I would have taken beforehand.

Sakho was overall good yesterday, and not sure I think he cost that first goal as such. He steps up when our midfield is away because Shelvey is free, and Skrtel is there as backup. Just unlucky the tackle from Skrtel doesn't fall out differently. It was his first game, plenty to take from it, and as he get's used to our system and his partners he will be a great great addition.

Moses did well yesterday, and I was more impressed with him than I had hoped to be. Can definitly do a job for us, and a good option to have.

And we have to thank Shelvey for the assists, they were superb played in depth.

Swansea have a big weakness and that is that they are very vulnerable to counter attacks.

Man U used that against them big time.

If we tried to play that way in the second half then forgot to attack and United also have a keeper that is excellent starting up quick counter attacks.

Mignolet is excellent but he is also rubbish setting up quick counter attacks. That is a very big weakness when you defend as deep as we are in the second halfs.

I'm not blaming Mig in any way.
