This is the way I see it.
We shouldn't really be were we are now but we are top after 17 games. We finished last season on a good run as well so we are consistent. We are not in Europe and we have far and away the leagues outstanding player and top scorer.
The team at the top the last 4 seasons has won the premiership.
As unbelievable as it seems to us we are real real contenders and I am sure all the top teams are treating us as such.

Don't forget City havn't faced such a potent strike force yet this season - they're manager will be well aware of this. Yes we will concede over there, but on the other hand I can't see them stopping us scoring. Plus they're defence is more dodgy then ours!

I hope we go over there and play to our strengths. All the pressure is on City. I think we can beat them 3-2!

A glance a last season's results/table is interesting reading. If you take it that we've played more or less the top half of the league away and the bottom half at home and are set to reverse those fixtures from now till the end of the season last season it was a 31/30 point split. That would suggest it is logical to expect a 36 point haul from the remaining games() However it should be noted that our games against our biggest 6 rivals at home last time around yielded a ****ing woeful 6 pts out of 18!!. This is the key for me, I think the aways will take care of themselves to a large degree and its the big home games where we really need to improve. Three wins,and we already have one,two draws and a loss will get us 11 pts and a 5 pt improvement on last season. If we fare better than this= great. One other thing to factor in is that I don't think we've had a great deal of luck thus far. Quite the opposite to be fair so I don't think it's churlish to expect our overall good season to continue. I'm not panicking just yet.We've cover at CB and SG returns in place of Allen so the injuries may not affect us as much as we fear.
