We are currently the best team of 2014 averaging 2.6 points per game, second is Man City on 2.4 points per game, Chelsea in 3rd with 2.38 and Arsenal way down averaging only 2 points per game

I think we have good team but squad wise it is quite patchy i.e. we have decent quality and depth at CB, but up front we have nothing after Sturridge and Suarez. LB for example looks good on paper with Enrique and Cissokho, but neither is good enough. I always feel that we are a couple of injuries away from being in the ****, we also lack any a game changing player from the bench (until recently one of Sterling or Coutinho has been sub). I think if we had had euro football this season with the squad we have we would have picked up more injuries and wouldn't be where we are now.

Let's see where we are after the next four games
The reasoning behind that is because you can't win the title early on, but you can lose it. We are capable of the title and trust me, if everyone was being negative I'd argue the positive side. But I like to apply a little bit of balance. The fact of the matter is that I don't think we can afford to drop anymore than two points. And with the fixtures we have left that's a massive ask. If we were to win I think that'd be a 13 game winning streak we'd have knocked up, winning 17 or so from 19 games. Those are massive numbers. Even the greatest teams of all time struggle to post this numbers, and that's when under no pressure, as teams who win loads on the bounce tend to win the league at a canter with no one on their heels.

I'm hoping for teams to **** up to give us a better chance, but expecting three other teams to implode and fall away is stretching it a bit. This is a race to the last game if we are to win it. Pressure every game. Needing to win week after week. All that expected from a side that finished 7th last year and even between fantastic wins v Everton & Arsenal this year still managed to draw at home to Villa & throw it away v West Brom.

But whilst I've applied a little balance to the forum there, my own personal view is we can win it. I'm not being negative, we are in it to win it. It won't be easy, but neither is 3-0 down in a cup final to a team that one of the greatest defenders of all time marshalling the back line. But our fans carried us to it, and you know what - if the crowd is bouncing as opposed to worried - we could be carried to the title on the crest of a wave. Especially as Rodgers is a media darling & our brand of footy has the jouros having a love in with us. It really does help with easing the pressure.
            Forwards.......

Imagine if Chelsea and City just fell to ****ing pieces and we won it with 2 or 3 games left. How funny would that be?

We've scored more goals in the first half the 16 of the teams in the league have scored all season! Amazing stuff.

Deep.... I mean really deep down, do any of us really think we are going to win the league? If we did, it would be one of the greatest achievements in football history, that's perspective. Don't get me wrong, I would love it more than anyone but let's not get carried away. P.s I hope I'm wrong, maybe I'm just in too good to be true mode. I'm not religious, but iv always asked to see us win the premier league before I die...... I'm scared

I believe there is a chance but it's mathematically impossible if Chelsea and Man City win all their games.

So until it's not impossible, I'll believe there's a chance but not that we will win it.

I don't know if we will but I believe that we can, based on current form I would imagine that of all the challengers we are probably the team that everyone fears the most, if we can continue that form I don't see why not. And while I really want us to win it, experience of being an LFC fan tells makes me fear that after doing so well against Utd we will drop points at Cardiff, or if we beat Chelsea we'll drop points against Palace etc. I'm loving the football at the moment but living in fear.

Yes. Call it blind faith or whatever, there is just a gut feeling this is really our time. Truth is I will be devastated if we miss out now because it feels closer than it ever has (even under Rafa).

I agree, we've improved significantly over the course of this season and we're still improving. As long as we don't get complacent then we are capable of getting the results we need to win the league, obviously we need a bit of luck too.

At the start of the season I would have said that the other teams competing for the league were stronger than us, but now I'd say that our attacking players are better than the other teams and our midfield looks very strong now. We've adapted better than the other teams and Rodgers is getting the best out of players who weren't quite there at the start of the season. Our defence has sharpened up a bit in the last few games and Mignolet looks more confident.
