Good feeling to know the league is still in our hands at this stage of the season (sort of*). Win all our games and we could practically win the league. Tough ask, probably won't happen but still nice to be talking in those terms.

*can see Arsenal and City slipping further. Not sure about Chelsea.
    One tit for another.

In all likelihood I think we'll still end up 10+ points behind the winner but yeah at least we're not 20 odd points adrift as we normally are at this stage of the season

Such a shame we could have been right up there this season last 2 draws have ended any slim chance we had. Losing to all 3 of the teams above us hasnt helped.

If and buts if we had beat city and drew at chelsea

        arse 55
        liverpool 51
        chelsea 51
        city 50

with arse to come to anfield

Exactly, just shows how close it has been despite the points record. A couple of match fixing referee decisions doesn't sway how we're pressing ahead.

I'm glad Chelsea beat City as it means the distance to the top is less than it could've been. In all probability we won't win it but if we're aiming for 3rd then we may as well aim for top spot seeing that only 2 points separate the 3 of them.

As Mr Pellegrini says, there's 42 points to play for. If we beat all three above us then we can win the league. Do I think we can beat those three? Yes

We can beat all 3; on our day, whether we will is a whole other thing.

Are we that lucky ? because we'll need to be.

If we can't win the league then I hope City do it.

                  Just to compound Utd's misery

City winning the league and us finishing in the Champions League at their expense will be the stuff of nightmares for them. Bring it on!

Man City were also basically given a free stadium as well after the Manchester Commonwealth Games.

Speaking of nightmares, I've just had one where we finish 4th but United win the Champions league this year and we miss out to them. Surely this can't happen. Surely.

I think Rodgers is absolutely right to rule us out of the title race. Our squad is not equipped for it and we are still building up the mentality and tactics to make it a reality.

Mourinho's comment about them not being title contenders is pretty pathetic to be honest. Does he really believe they don't have what it takes to win the PL, puleeease...

There is as much chance of United winning the Champions League as President Ahmadinejad of Iran becoming President Ahmadinejad of The United States of America

There's still a 1 in a million outside shot, but he's taking off the pressure, and rightly so.

4th is a remarkable achievement from last season. Everyone involved in the club should be absolutely chuffed with themselves if we achieve it. Anything better is a bonus.
