Title Race

Our next four premiership games are Fulham, Swansea, Saints & Sunderland. These are the sort of games we've dropped points over this season...(thinking of the hull, villa, newcastle & west brom matches).. If we get 12 out of 12 from this, then it has to be game on for a title push..

Scary prospect....four massive games and as you say if we take 10pts+ we'll be right in it. Mental. To me it's not even an option, I'm giving the title no thought whatsoever. CL is all I want for now...4th would be ****ing ace, 3rd even better and definitely attainable. The title would be absolute dreamland, like some sort of Roy of the Rovers fantasy. Top 4 is all I really want...Suarez stays, we spend big on better, CL standard players and we are flying.

All the top teams will have a lot on their plate with CL resuming, so that has got to give us an advantage and at that stage, with being 6 points behind, anything can happen.

I think 3rd is possibly up for grabs but a little like the Mancs behind us it's too much to expect 3 sides to capitulate for us to grab the title this season.

We don't need the other sides to capitulate, if we can beat both Chelsea and Man City we only need them to drop a couple of points more than us. It's Arsenal that we need to drop most points (5). I don't think we'll be in the title race because we only really have a first 11 of quality our squad depth is poor and I think players will tire towards the end of the season, but at the moment we're not far away.

This for me.Still in the hunt,especially if we beat them all when they come to ours but realistically I'd say 3rd is possible,Arsenal have an awful run of fixtures coming up,they'll implode like they do every February so we can overtake them defo.

Totally agree shaggy... But as I said above, we have to keep aiming for the stars, if we start thinking about only finishing 4th, then that's when we start to fail..

Based on our performance at the etihad, we've nothing to fear from city...we can match them at Anfield. Chelsea (especially hazard..) are flying at the moment, they look like the ones to beat

If we keep up performances like that, we will win more points than we drop from here to the end of the season..Let's see where it takes us..

Your scenario mentioned above is exactly what I said to my mate today..luis stays, we put more quality into the team, and start to dominate again...

Don't think it's poor. Not at all. We've managed to keep up with the pace up to now with injuries to important players. The players who've come in have done really well. A better statement would be that we aren't as strong as our rivals, in terms of squad depth, but ours isn't poor by any stretch.

I meant with what we have available at the moment. No offence to the players involved but when you look at our bench in recent weeks it doesn't scream quality. In all honesty I have looked at the benches in recent games and Allen aside I have thought the only way most of these players are getting on is if there is an injury or if we are winning comfortably.

I think our squad depth is limited. IMO, if (when ) we get into the Champions League, we will need to recruit at least 4 or 5 quality (first team) players.
