I think City will collapse. Mancs at OT, Arsenal away, Everton away, us away... they are poor away from home, something's got to give.

I'm sorry but we will be ****ting Chelsea at home - Man City too.Originally posted by G View PostAnd their goal difference is better than ours. We won't be ****ting Chelsea at home either, it'll be a tight game and our chances of winning it will be largely down to how our defence performs on the day so I'm hoping for more like the previous two games rather than yesterday's showing.
I'm still confident we'll beat both and win the league.
Also we'll score more than 100 league goals.
Isn't it obvious?

How many times have teams lost the title when they almost had it in the bag? The difference between winning and losing can be so small. At this stage dealing with the pressure can be that difference. I have to wonder if Steve Peters might be one of those little differences that gets us there?Never knowingly optimistic

The two terms "despite officials making mistakes" and "we handed them both goals through errors" are not mutually exclusive, as you seem to thinkOriginally posted by G View PostDefensive solidity will be vital in those two games.Despite officials making mistakes,we got zero points from those christmas games because we handed them both goals through errors.

Quite so. All the wet farts were agonising about going to Old Toilet when it was obvious to everyone but a half-wit that we'd win doing handstandsOriginally posted by captainfog View PostOf course there is. People were worrying about our trip to Old Toilet despite the fact that everything pointed to a win for us. We had a better side and were in better form therefore a victory was a logical conclusion. 3-0.

Chelsea don't have the easiest run-in, we do. Chelsea must come to Anfield.Originally posted by Pepe79 View PostChelsea have the easiest run in.
Man City have the biggest margin for error with those games in hand giving them the highest potential points total.
Not sure how it's possible to write off Arsenal yet say we don't need to win all our games? One slip from us and Arsenal could be level again.
Things could change with couple of surprise results, but at this point I still can't help but think we'd need a flawless run in to win it.
Arsenal have zero chance of finishing above us.
Why am I explaining this, unless everyone else is a moron?

Are you related to Blind Melon Redspin? If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Bar us, all their remaining games are against teams in the lower half of the table. 3 of ours are amongst the current top 5. Theirs is easier.Originally posted by Redspin View PostChelsea don't have the easiest run-in, we do. Chelsea must come to Anfield.
That's not what I said though, is it.Originally posted by Redspin View PostArsenal have zero chance of finishing above us.

We conceded goals through our own mistakes. Those are things we can control. We can't control the ref making mistakes and in any case nobody knows what would have happened if Eto'o got sent off or if we would have scored a penalty if we had been given one late on. The Sterling goal against City wouldn't have been chalked off but it was and we can't control that.Originally posted by Redspin View PostThe two terms "despite officials making mistakes" and "we handed them both goals through errors" are not mutually exclusive, as you seem to think
We can get away with ****e defensive displays against the poor teams,we can't in games against these two.We made two mistakes in both games and that cost us points. Don't make those mistakes and even with the ref ****ing up we'd have still likely got something from those games and both those two would have less points than they have now.
We won't be ****ting Chelsea. We will beat them though.
I look forward to your massively condescending reply

Positivity about our challenge is great, but giving your fellow fans grief for pointing out the obvious (ie that Chelsea do have the easiest run in) is ridiculous.
- Chelsea have nobody in the top 10 to play barring us at Anfield
- We still have Chelsea, City and Spurs to play. Ok so Spurs are a bit **** but they are still 5th. That those games are at home makes them better, but still not easy fixtures no matter how good we've been so far, particularly given we pretty much need 3 points from every single game.
We most definitely can go on to win this, but we are not clear favourites and we do not have the easiest run in.
Why am I explaining this.....?
