Gerrard was disruptive to defence and midfield. Henderson looked far too deferential, he wasn't bossing his area the same way as when Gerrard was out, that was a bit of a loss.

Skrtel was atrocious, Glen Johnson must be playing injured, Cissokho didn't exactly fill with confidence, Kolo similair and Mignolet is terribly erratic. He doesnt instill confidence, but to be fair, has good reflexes (Gerrard og attempt for example)

It seems the defence is out to undermine everything the attack offers. Suarez and Sturridge combined fantastically - how amazing are they? Good time for Daniel to come back because Coutinho looks like he needs a rest.

Danny's awareness and quick wits to get the 5th was tremendous

three points at stoke is a great result. heart stopping and shaky at times, moments of grit and greatness. what a game for the neutral, we looked disjointed and patchy at best at times.
if it wasnt for our strikers we'd be ****ed.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Thank **** that's over! Nial Quinn 'Liverpool simply too good for Stoke' that's not what I got from watching this game.

Scoring 5 away at Stoke is some achievement though and 4th feels a lot better than 6th! Others around us will go there and drop points, no doubt about that.

        Okay now the problems..

Mignolet let in another howler and flapped a number of times, although he made a couple of great reaction saves.

Gerrard was turd and completely disrupted our midfield, from our movement to passing and even pressing of Stoke we looked a shambles at times.

Lucas is fine as a DM with 2 energetic players around him but with Stevie next to him something has to give because we look like we're running in quick sand.

Johnson offers nothing at the moment, its been going on for sometime now, maybe he needs resting maybe he's getting old I don't know.

Sterling and Suarez were fantastic and Coutinho's general play was good but his end product let him down again today. Sturridge back with an assist and a goal

You have to be happy after that but you must also recognise that we have massive issues at the back and if we can't talk about them without being accused of moaning whats the point in a forum?

Not always. I think this team has amazing potential but it's lacking a solid spine and I find it frustrating. Can't comment about the match anymore?

Some of the expectations on here are unrealistic, there are 2 sides playing football that funnily enough aren't too bad; we've no divine right to beat sides which some seem to think we have
But if we really want to be top 4 and, ultimately, win the league - we NEED to win games like this. The attitude that losing/drawing doesn't matter is mid table attitude
              Another MASSIVE game

Any idea why Ward was on the bench instead of Jones?

I think perhaps it's more the repetitive nature of said comments

Let's not forget Stoke put 3 past the defensively sound Chelsea and won the game.

This is a great result for us make no mistake.

There is way to much slagging of individuals going on. Collectively, as a team we gave the ball away too much. Nothing more, nothing less. It was a great result.

Of which we did but we've no right to win against them that's the problem it seems we just need to be there according to some and we should win, if we don't we're ****, weak etc.......

Stoke are a decent side at home and it was always going to be tough

He's really strengthened up hasn't he. Not so easily pushed off the ball anymore IMO.
