realistically they are our biggest rivals for that spot and being 9 points ahead with 14 games to go is a big gap to make up. even for utd.
Absolutely. It is/was gutting. But look it like this...we are 8 ahead of them in essence. 7 points clear and a goal difference that is impossible for them to overhaul. So they need 8 to get ahead of us.

It really was a bad loss because we have to get a result against Arsenal whereas if we had 3 points from WBA game would be less pressure

Need to refocus and ensure the mistakes from the last game against Arsenal are not repeated , allow the front 3 to push Arsenal onto the backfoot.

like you say our goal difference is worth a point but you cant write off united. we just need to keep winning our games and see what happens and would have put us within a point of 3rd.

but a win yesterday all but writes off united chances of top 4 imo.

That sounds like a large points turn around, but we still have to play them at their place though, it only takes one mistake, or a ****ty refereeing decision, (we've had plenty of them over the years) and that 7 (or effectively 8) point difference is down to 4 (or 5) in the other 13 games which is very do-able.

Don't think it's UTD we need to worry about- it's Everton for me, they just don't drop enough points.

Let's hope Man U don't beat arsenal again!

Everton are certainly our main rivals at the moment as they are closest to us, but I do worry that Man Utd will improve, I don't think they can remain this bad all season, and with Rooney, van Persie and Mata all available they should be more capable of picking up points than they were before.

i know it's impossible to predict in this league - but i'd say they have

                  6 bankers for 3 points.
                  Palace home
                  Swansea home
                  West Ham home
                  Cardiff Home
                  Fulham Away
                  Hull Away

                  Plus 5 tough games -
                  Spurs away
                  Chelsea away
                  Arsenal Home
                  United Home
                  City away

and 3 i'm not sure about
                  Newcastle Away
                  Sunderland Away
                  Southampton Away

i reckon for no other reason than being bored - they will get 25 points from that lot. Thats being over worried, expecting them to somehow continue playing well

                  70 points -

i said a while ago looking at our fixtures etc - that if we can get anything over 70 points we'll be in top 4 -

i'd say for us, another 23 points minimum should be secured from our remaining games, but we are going to have dig deep and get a couple of 'big ones' against some of the top sides.....and we need to try and stop dropping ****ty silly points

it would just be typical liverpool to go and beat arsenal and then lose to fulham etc

In hindsight it was obvious we were going to drop points - Spirits are raised after the Derby win making the players and supporters overconfident, an injury ravaged back 4, United losing and Spurs dropping points puts pressure on us plus our record at the Hawthorns is terrible.

The Toure gif is very funny However, can't just blame him for yesterday's dropped points. Too many players had an off-day.

Truth is - four dropped points against Villa and WBA is not top four form. We need to get our act together, quickly.
                                Another MASSIVE game
